Help me come up with a plan?

You are the experts. I'm having trouble coming up with a plan. We're doing 3.5 days in September and want to accomplish a few things:

1. AK - at least the Safari
2. Jedi Training - I'm going to try to talk my son out of this but we'll probably try to do it
3. Epcot: at least Fast Track
4. MNSSHP (we have tickets on night 3).

Other than that we're not crack of dawn types and my son doesn't care that much about character meals/experiences. We are staying at CR and have hopper tickets so expect to spend most of our time at MK.

Anyone want to help me make a plan? :) :) :)

Not sure what plan your looking for? Dining? FP+? If just which days you go to which park, check out KennythePirate's calendar for crowds and pick the park with the projected less crowd. I do know Test Track gets a very long que, so you def want to FP that. And Jedi Training, I've read you have to be there at rope drop to get a time slot and even then, its not guaranteed as that's where others wanting to do it, make a run for.

Looking mostly for how to divide up our days and get the most out of our FP+. I really wish they'd let you mix up the 3 between two parks if you have hopper tickets.

We did Jedi Training last time and it's true that you have to get there at rope drop and get a little lucky. It's a shame, honestly.

im personally not a fan of AK so can't really help there...but I would go with the KennythePirate website and follow along for his crowd calendar and avoid the parks in red on those days. Getting the most of your FPs I go for the most popular rides and head there first hoping to ride a few times SB before having to use my FP. If your son has outgrown the need to see characters, walk through and enjoy the different countries and cultures in Epcot. =)

First, as PPs have said, I'd check the crowd calendars and park hours to plan your days. I book FP FP later in the day. If your son really wants Jedi Training, pick the DHS day carefully and be there well before rope drop so you can be near the turnstiles when they open. Know where you are going and do not stop for pictures, potty breaks etc.

AK is pretty easy. Get there fairly early, or have FP for the rides you want. There aren't a lot to choose from: safari, EE, Kali are the only ones I'd think you'd need a FP for. AK isn't really about rides. We love the safari and EE, but enjoy the animal trails, Shows and Rafiki's just as much.

I would do either AK or EP on your party day. If you're not going to be there at rope drop, just FP the Safari or TT for a time that fits your schedule. However, I would suggest you be at AK at rope drop as it will get hot fast and the animals don't move around much once the heat sets in.

You already know you have to get to HS at rope drop in order to do Jedi. You could then do FP+ for Toy Story and Star Tours for that same day. I wouldn't do this one on your party day only because the Jedi time slot is out of your hands, and it could be later in the afternoon which could prevent you from getting to MK around 4:00.

My plan would look like this:

Day 1- rope drop HS to sign up for Jedi and use FP+ for Toy Story and Star Tours. If you get an early Jedi, you can hop to MK for the rest of the day. Just be sure to schedule HS on a day MK does not have a party.

Day 2- EP as a late start with a FP+ for TT when it suits you. Or start the day at MK without FP+ and hop to EP in the evening with a FP+ for TT. This gives you the evening for Illuminations.

Day 3- rope drop AK and party night

Are you flying in or driving? What time do you plan on arriving your first day at WDW? I always fly into Orlando and arrive at my hotel around 12. I always spend that first day at AK because it is my least favorite park and in my opinion, the least amount of things to do for adults. I usually hit up the Safari, Expedition Everest, and the Rapids before leaving. 5 hours in AK is enough for me. @CBMom01

Isn't Test Track's queue interactive and interesting?

Honestly, I would be at Epcot at rope drop, too. You can FP Soarin, and ride Test Track standby.

Last time we were there the line just to get inside was at least an hour long - we were going to leave but a family came over and gave me hard ticket FPs for it. I personally found the whole experience rather boring up until we got in the car and I didn't enjoy that part in the least either but for different reasons

I can understand how you are having trouble coming up with a plan. You only have 3 1/2 days, but want to hit all 4 parks, but also want to "spend most of your time at MK", and you don't want to get up at the crack of dawn. The good news is you have park hoppers, and September is a quiet month, and there's plenty of time to buy a good alarm clock. You also don't mention your son's age, if you're planning on taking pool breaks from the heat, if the 1/2 day is arrival/departure day, when exactly in September, etc.

Day A: AK at rope drop straight to Safari, hop to Epcot in afternoon with 3 FP+ for Test Track and 2 others
Day B: MK all day
Day C: HS at rope drop with 3 FP+, hop to MK for MNSSHP
(Could switch Day A to do Epcot at rope drop, then hopping to AK in afternoon with FP+ for Safari)

Another option, since you have hoppers and FP+, would be to start every day at MK (except for your HS/Jedi day), get a lot of rides done in the morning, then lunch and/or pool break, then hop to Epcot/AK (or back to MK) with FP+ reserved late afternoon.
