Which one sounds better? :confused3 Dinner at the Garden Grill or the Rose & Crown for dinner ansd Illuminations. It will be me, DH, DS16 and DD10.

If you're kids enjoy the characters, try Garden Grill. Plus, it's all you can eat, and if your teen son is anything like mine, he'll appreciate that. Rose & Crown's food is mediocre at best and there are better places to view Illuminations. We used to love R&C, but it was the worst meal of our June trip. Beer was good, but the service and food were poor.

We had lunch @ the Garden Grill the first week in Oct. and was pleasantly surprised. We scheduled it mainly for the character interaction but was pleased with the food--especially the potato casserole, fried fish (my personal fave) and very fresh, crunchy veggies. They also had turkey, thin sliced beef with gravy and good bread. The service was great and the characters were so much fun--even interacting with DH (the Gfather of the group) We have a great picture of Mickey kissing his head....:goodvibes I had read some less that flattering reviews of the GG so I wasn't expecting much other than the characters. Chip and Dale were very good with our DGD (age 1) who was a little apprehensive being up close and personal with characters. But it was all good:hippie:

We didn't eat at R & C this trip but have enjoyed it in the past; specifically the fish and chips and the BEER!!!:goodvibes

I like GG. This tends to be our so where do you want to go tonight place. We can usually get in there with not too much advance notice. (Once we called from our room at BWV and made an adr for 30 minutes ahead)

I like the food. It is not the fanciest place out there, but it is a good meal and we have had some of our best character interaction there. DH likes the fried catfish the best.

We have not been to the R&C in a few years. I do not want to sit inside, and haven't felt like taking a chance on not being able to sit where we like.

Go for the Garden Grill, more of a selection on the menu. Characters are fun at any age.

My family's personal fave is Germany Biergarten. You have to like German food, they have a men's and ladies size Beck's Beer and a German buffet. The interior is a German village with a dinner show. My kids had fun, got up and danced and we laughed and had a great time, then walked out in front and watched Illuminations.
