I need some expert advice! Which would you choose, lunch at Whispering Canyon or dinner at Tony's? It's just DH, DS who is turning 8 while at WDW, and myself. Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Hands down, WCC! It is so much fun and great food. We've gone to Tony's a few times and the food is okay Italian but the service wasn't very good. WCC is just so much fun, especially if you have a good sense of humor with the CM's. I can't wait to go back.

Thanks for your advice Mean Queen! I was kind of leaning toward WCC:goodvibes . My DH is somewhat shy but not too much and the only ressie I could get was for lunch and I hear lunch may not be as "loud" as dinner, but in any case it should be fun and we wanted to check out WL too:thumbsup2 !! I was thinking Tony's mainly because of location. Thanks again for your help!:thanks:

Another vote for WCC! We ate at both and the service at Tony's was horrible unfortunately. Service at WCC is excellent and....fun!!! It's so much fun in fact, they got my husband out of his seat to sing! We have great memories of our dinner at WC. Not so much at Tony's.

I'd skip both and look for something else. We had lunch at TTS over Christmas and DS7 and I were both very much less than impressed. DH thought it was great, however. The breadsticks were good and the salad basic, but tasty, but the kids chicken pizza and "baked" ziti were terrible. (I put baked in quotes because there was nothing baked about it--just a pile of warm sticky mess in front of me.) We're going back for DH, but DS and I plan on sticking to the breadsticks and salad.

Over the same trip we also did dinner at WCC for the first time. DS had the steak and I had the skillet (can't remember what DS had). Neither really stood out to us, and mine was lukewarm at best. I was really hoping that we'd be part of, or at least witness, some good antics. Our server threw the straws on the table--that was the end of it. One bottle of ketchup when we asked, one regular refill (which took quite a while to get) of soda when I gulped my down from excessive thirst. The horse race was fun, but certainly not enough fun to make me want to go through all the travel difficulties of getting to WL and then back to our hotel via WDW busing.

WCC definitely over TTS. The atmosphere at WCC is so much nicer than Tony's too!

This trip we ate at both. I have been to TTS several times. Every time it was great food and service. I was on the DDP so we had the works. WCC was also great. THE atmosphere is great , so is the service and they have alot of great drinks. I found the food not to be as good, but that's just my taste. We went with my 2 DD's 5 and 7 and I asked where they wanted to go back to and they both said Tony's. They are picky eaters and I was surprised by their response because they had alot of fun at WCC. I think you can't go wrong with either one.

We haven't eaten at Tony's, but we make it a point to eat at WCC every trip. The atmospher is awesome. Last time we took the in-laws. My father-in-law is ultra conservative, but he had a blast. I haven't seen him laugh like that ever. It was great.

WCC, definitely. We've had the pulled pork sandwich and little nutty chicken salad at WCC. Both tasted wonderful.

Oh, never dinner at Tony's. I think its terrible. I ate dinner there once and said never again. But, lunch at Tony's is excellent. We go there for lunch every trip. Its amazing how different lunch and dinner can be at the same place.
I've never been to Whispering Canyon but ti sounds good.

I really like Tony's for dinner. I haven't tried WCC yet (will remedy that in October). I think they are hard to compare. Completely different theme in both food and atmosphere. If you think you will enjoy the fun antics of WCC and have built in the time to get over to the WL then that sounds like a winner. Tony's is not going to be the outgoing, interractive experience WCC is. I think the food is very good and the atmosphere was very nice (love the Lady and the Tramp theming). Its also very convenient to be inside the MK. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either, its just what you are more in the mood for as far as food and atmosphere.

WWC the kids loved it and so did all our family!!! Lots of fun for adults and for kids!!

Oh wow, thanks everyone for you responses!!:goodvibes They have all been so helpful! I just love these boards everyone has such great advice:disrocks: . At this time next month we'll be in WDW. Can't you tell I'm so excited!:hyper: Again, thanks a lot!!:thanks:

My girls (13 & 4) & I tried WCC for the first time last Aug and loved it. We loved it so much that we went again the next day for dinner.
I loved the atmosphere and the food. It can get kinda loud in there, but we didn't mind, I knew that going in.
Heading back again this summer and made ressies there again.
Have a great time, wherever you choose!:cool1:

Thanks Breebella, from everything I'm reading I think I'm going to stay with WCC!:thumbsup2 Only 30 more days!:woohoo:
