Help me choose a resort - Please!

Hi All,

A friend has been so kind to give us a week of timeshare for our Dec. trip. We have a choice between Marriott's Grande Vista, Marriott's Cypress Harbour, and Sheraton Vistana Resort - all 2 bdrm. We are 6 people - me, DH, DS (20), DS (18), DD (14) and DD (12). We like space and luxury and the kids would like a decent pool (weather permitting), since our plans to go to Blizzard Beach have been squashed (it will be closed for rehab). I know this is subjective, but would love anyone's opinion. TIA!

I would go with Marriott's Cypress Harbour. but only if you intend to spend time at the resort.

if you are sleeping and just going to WDW - then Sheraton's Vistana Resort - it the closest to Disney.

The Sheraton is approx. 6.40 miles from blizzard beach
The Marriot is approx 10.56 miles from blizzard beach
The Marriot Cypress Harbour is appox 9.35 miles from blizzard beach.

I think blizzard beach is close to everything in WD isnt it?

They all are nice but your the one who needs to make that choice along with Dh right?

I would go with Sheraton Vistana. The pool there is amazing!

Thanks all for the replies - I was leaning towards Cypress Harbour, but just wanted to be sure this would be the right choice. We plan on having 2 - 3 days as non-park days, so activites at the resort are important. We were at TL in August and kind of feel like been there done that, but haven't been to BB since 2001. Oh well, next trip - just gives us another day to do something else! It would be nice if DH gave an opinion, but the planning is always solely in my hands. I guess that has it's advantages - and everyone knows they have no right to complain about anything since they did not add their opinion when asked during planning!

I would recommend the Marriott Cypress Harbor. Our favorite resort and we have been to many of them. The resort is just the right size, lots to do for everyone, a great location, nice big rooms, and is beautiful.

We are splitting a stay at Cypress Harbour and Disney's OKW next April/May. We're DVC members and thought the Cypress Harbour reminded us of Disney's OKW and wanted to try it out because of the great reviews it consistently gets on TUG.

Cypress Harbour's rooms are being remodeled (new granite countertops, carpets, furniture, etc.). So maybe you'll be lucky and get one of those.
