Help me choose a hairstyle! Please!

Looks like #3 is clearly the winner so far. It's the first one that I found, that made me stop what I was doing, and say that's the one! I'll have to try it one day, and see if it will last....maybe that will help ease my worries. We are getting married at 3 PM at Leu Gardens, and then have the Chef's Table scheduled for 6 PM, so really I'll only be outside for 4 hours at the most, and then inside for dinner. Surely, it would last through that! Thanks again everyone, and if anyone else wants to offer an opinion, I'll be more than happy to hear it. It seems that #2 is a far second if I don't go with it down.

I wore my hair down and I regret it. I wish that I had a cute updo. I guess either way you do it, you'll always wonder how different your pics would have been if you had done it the other way. I would have liked to wear it up becuase I just love the look of updos and I like how special and unique they are. Even if you wear your hair up all the time...it will not look like it normally does!! Good luck picking a style!!

Bride03,

Can you tell me exactly why you wish you had not worn your hair down. I'm just curious about your comment about the pictures...did it fall out? I'm worried that I'll feel the same way...it's not everyday that you get to have an unique updo! Thanks!

In my opinion, it's probably easier for you to explain to a stylist what you want if you are having an updo. Having it down, It didn't come out like I wished it would have. The way my veil looked kinda urked me too. I like the look of an updo with the veil. I didn't like it when my hair was down. I cut my hair shoulder length about a month before the wedding. For my bridal portrait, It was longer and I wore it up, man...it looked so good and I wish that I had that "regal" look for my wedding. There were two things about myself I wish I could change...wearing slippers felt like I was at a fitting rather than my wedding. I wish I had wore sexy heels!! I also wish that I hadn't worn my hair down. It didn't come out the way I wished it would and my hair didn't feel like "wedding hair"...it felt like "I have to hurry and do my hair" kind of look. Don't get me wrong...it looked great, I just wish I had done an updo!! blah blah blah...I'm rambling.

This is a tough one. I love both numbers 2 and 3. I have long straight hair as well and want a romantic look so I would go with #3. But if you are worried about frizziness go with 2...you honestly can't lose they are so beautiful.

I ahve to go with 1 or 3...if it is an updo I say 1...I like that it is elgant and not a "typical" updo. I also love the romantic feel of 3! IMHO I think you should decide which you will feel comfortable and beautiful (up,half up or down...then pick a do') I am sure they would all look great anyway :goodvibes

I am so glad there are other brides out there who have worn or woudl like to wear their hair down! I wore mine down. Many people made comments before hand and suggested that i needed to wear it up but i wore it down and did not regret it.

I liked number 2 because:

is your hair thick enough for number 3?? I can not tell in your pics but if it is not thick and shiney like hers, I do not know if I would like it and YES trust me...the humidity is a killer!!!! ICK!!!

Number 2 would help show the sexy cut in the back of the gown too. I think 2 is a more put together look that will stay longer...it is very gorgeous

I wish I would have worn mine up for my wedding...I wore it down and regret it to this day!!

I love all three styles but my favorites are #2 and#3 with the veil in back.I love #3 with not too much hair on the sides.Up on the crown of your head and the rest mostly in the back. Good luck !

I just wanted to thank everyone again for their opinions! I still haven't decided, but have pretty much decided against #1. I think I prefer to have more hair showing from the front. So now it's down to #2 & #3!

You all have given me lots to think about though...I'm thinking that I will go in next week to have a trim, and have the stylist do #3 for me, so that I can see how long it lasts, and if I like it with my veil and tiara. I'm also not sure if my hair is thick enough to make it look as full as the sample photo...we will find out!

Thanks again!

June 2004 vow renewal. The stylist was fabulous... I brought two pics of the same model w/ hair up and down. I was leaning toward wearing my hair down - and he did not recommend it. He thought it would fall - and my hair is very thick and was permed at the time. I had an updo of twisted curls w/tiara that was amazing. I loved the way it looked in the pics - especially the ones from the side and from behind. Your hairdo #2 would be just gorgeous! I wanted my hair down, but was very happy with the updo.

Your gown and jewelry are simply lovely! You will be a beautiful bride whatever "do" you choose!

I would choose #2.
Reasons:

* You have a graceful neck and shoulders - long hair might hide that.

* The neckline and shoulders of the dress are key features which should be displayed - ala hair up.

* With your glasses off, your eyes will really be a focus (you can tell even with glasses on that they sparkle) and putting your hair up draws others attention upward to your face.

And by the way, you look beautiful in that dress.

i think #3 would look best on you followed by number #1 which might work better with the weather in florida. i do not like #2 at all ntm the veil being low like that.

I wanted to vote for hair style 2! I think this style would go best with your dress and veil as well as really compliment your wedding day glow. IMHO the other 2 styles just don't fit with your dress the way style 2 does. Let us know what you decide on!

Excellent idea! Then you will know... how it looks with your dress & veil and how long it lasts! Good Luck! Be sure to let us know how it comes out! :flower1:

You all have really brightened my spirits with your complements, and willingness to help me! I'll let you know how #3 works out for me. I'm starting to lean more towards #2 now. Thanks again!
