My daughter will be around 3 next time we go (I live 4 hr drive from disney so usually I just go when there is a good hotel or ticket deal) and she loves princesses and Mickey/Minnie/Pluto/Donald/daisy/goofy. I don't think the rest Of the characters like Alice in wonderland will excite her. Princesses are her favorite

I was hoping someone can pointe towards a cheaper character meal that can be reserved maybe just a few weeks in advance.

Also what is it like? A lot of characters? One or two? Do they spend time with the kids?

I saw like a princess tea party but it was like 250$!!! Is it that wonderful for a 3 yr old?

Thanks in advance

Akershus in Norway pavilion at Epcot has great princesses that definitely interact well with guests. Also Crystal palace at MK is a personal favorite, though it has Winnie the Pooh characters there.

For your 3 year old I would recommend Akershus or Chef Mickey's for the best character interaction in my opinion. We went for my daughter's 3rd birthday and she absolutely loved both of these meals.

We loved Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast, and the characters were Minnie, Donald, and Goofy in their beach attire. The characters came to each table and hugged the kids and posed for photos. Our kids are 11 and 9 and say they are too old for characters, but they admitted that they loved it!

I also say Akershus or Chef Mickey's. My daughter loved seeing the princesses at Akershus at our table. My son and daughter both loved the characters at Chef Mickey's and had a blast standing on the chairs waving their napkins during the song that they play. I as an adult really liked Chef Mickey's.

Thanks I think I'll do askerus if I can get a last minute reservation. I'm thinking of going like the week after New Years when it's the cheapest. Maybe I'll buy the fl resident weekday passes. It's almost same price as a 3 day ticket anyway.

I was going to suggest Akershus. The princesses are fabulous and even have a parade around the restaurant. My girls love it. I'm not sure of pricing because we always do the DDP but you do get a photo package with it.

Our favorite is Mickey's Backyard BBQ. The food is amazing and the kids get to get up and dance with the characters and they do pictures and autographs as you come in. Lots of fun.
