Help me choose a camera....

I am trying to decide between a Canon Powershot SD1100 and a Canon Powershot SD790. Price is almost the same. I am concerned because I can't tell if the 1100 prints the date on pictures. That's a minor detail but an important one for me. I've read MANY reviews and websites listing features and can't find the answer.

Does anyone have this information? Can you recommend one camera over the other? I currently have an HP that I'm happy with but ready for an upgraded P&S. Will be used mostly to take pictures of my kids...we are headed to Disney later this month.

Find a local store that have them and go look to see if they have that. The date/time is stamped in the EXIF data of all digital pics. I believe there are programs that can extract it and paste it on the image itself.

Thanks. I've been having trouble finding the information on the box. I'll have to find a camera store with them in stock.

I dont know about those but I am *very* happy with my Canon Powershot 590. (Except I miss the color accent feature from my older powershots)

You could also go to the Canon tech support site and download the manuals in PDF. If it can be done, the manual should show how.
