I am taking my mom to CSR for a mother/daughter only trip and staying at CSR for the first time ever!!! My mom is not a spring chicken anymore and is not up for walking a great distance......we're just going to veg by the pool (quiet pool would be fine) but need to be close to main house... I requested Cabana Buildings, but what if we are put in Casitas? Bldg #1 is attached to the main house??? Is it noisy in that area?? My mom has NEVER stayed in WDW, and I really want to impress her:)

Also, What is YOUR favorite area of CSR

not Mario

would go with building 4 - close to a bus stop and quiet pool - now it is a litter walk to the food court. but being closer to a bus stop will help.

remember you can ask for a wheelchair at the front desk - sometimes bell services. these are free and your mother can kept it for the entire stay.

but yea know the problem - can't get her to use it.

get one anyway - and see what happening. don't mention that it is for her. just take it along to carry to your stuff. we were in the MK about an hour before mother pick up the stuff and sat down.

Bldg# 4 in Casitas? OK, thanks I'll keep that in mind.

I have stayed at POR more times than I can remember, is CSR about the size of POR, do you know??? If so, then I dont consider Bldg# 4 a long walk to the main house, as a matter of fact it looks like the same distance as POR's main house to blgd #15 or 16

I know what you mean about the wheel chair....my mother is not, by any means decrepate, but she does have limits on walking for too long and I sure dont feel like slinging her over my shoulders if she gets too winded:lmao:

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

For proximity to a quiet pool and closeness to ElCentro Casitas 3 or 4 would fit the bill. The quiet pool near the health spa always seems to have the least number of people (probably because it is furthest from the main pool & slide) and provides a great palm shaded :cool2: seating area!:thumbsup2

I love the cabanas because of there proximity to everything but the casitas have the best courtyards and fountains.
