I have a friend I'm in need of convincing to go to WDW. No kids. Just her and DH.

They've never been and have a bit of a distorted view that WDW is for families with little kids and all there is to do is rides and roller coasters.

As you can see from my sig, I'm a veteran. I've even been with DH by ourselves. But I'm finding it hard to organize my thoughts into "just adult" mode because DH and I do enjoy doing things with our kiddos.

So, I need your help.

Give me a list of things to do (can be ride related) for people who are traveling just as adults? Your favorite things, your must-dos, everything.

I appreciate your help as I compile this list!

Thanks!

DH and I are 40-ish and have no kids. We're on our 5th trip to Disney since 2000, our 3rd in a row, and this year we've expanded it from 2 weeks to 3!

We enjoy many aspects of WDW including the rides, shows (not all of them are geared towards 3 year olds), fireworks, eating, shopping, and the general immersive experience of not being in the "real world."

We do everything from the rides at MK to catching a game over some beers and wings at ESPN. We enjoy fine dining all over the World, shopping at DTD, and touring the World Showcase. And there's nothing more romantic imo than watching fireworks with your DH.

We stay on property, which gives us the added bonus of being able to enjoy our resort amenities (pools, spas, atmosphere) and tour at our leisure. Without young kids, we can avoid a lot of crowds by eating off hours and being in the parks later in the evening (which is a whole different, fun experience).

Since we don't have kids, we don't feel pressed to do everything and skip a lot of the things that are geared towards very young kids. That being said, we also take every chance we get to BE kids at Disney... something grown adults with jobs and responsibilities in the real world don't get to do very often. We have other friends without kids who love Disney too - I think for this very reason.

My fiance and I are in our 30's no kids and we think that it is a whole lot more fun without them! We are on our own schedules, we can get early to the parks and stay as late as we want without taking naps in between! There are so many adult things to do! The rides first of all! There are lots of rides I enjoy that kids don't! I love the hall of presidents although it will be closed during our trip.. and the living with the lands ride where you see the whole growing system.. i don't remember what it is called. Also, there are tons of things to do at the resorts such as parasailing and horseback riding.

Some of my fave adult only activities. . .

1. Lunch and cocktails at the Tune In Bar at the 50's prime time restaurant - of course this is after at least two round on Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror.

2. Dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby then walk to Epcot for Illuminations. . .afterward, leisurely stroll to the boardwalk for some ESPN action, Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance Hall.

3. Getting up early, running or walking for a bit, then getting ready, having beignets in my room, or breakfast at Olivias (Old Key West resort), making rope drop at some park (I especially like AK and Epcot rope drop), making sure to take pictures, then having an absolutely fantastic day.

4. Food and wine festival. Best time of year to attend. Lots of great stuff to try. Kids would not necessarily appreciate it so it makes for a great ADULT experience. In fact, next year I am going to make sure I have a seat at one of the cooking competitions. I could have met my fave celebrity chefs this year.
