Help - Mama Melrose and others booked solid

We are trying to get into Mama Melrose for a party of 11 but everything is booked. Today was the first day we could book ADR's but it is booked solid, even on days when there is no Fantasmic Dinner.

I also tried to book into Captain Jacks and 50's Prime Time for the same week, trying different days but nothing was open. Is this a party size issue or something else?

We will be in Disney World July 18-25th.

Were you trying for dinner? It used to be the case that dinner slots at DHS weren't opened until the park hours were finalized....maybe 2 weeks-month out.
We haven't had dinner at DHS for some years so that may have changed.

Your party size may indeed have something to do with it. When you talk to them - and if you're comfortable with this - tell them that you'll split between three or four tables. Our experience is that they'll seat you as close to each other as possible.

I might be wrong, but looking at your choices, I don't think any of those are geared toward large tables. We've had a group of that size seated together at 'Ohana, but that's about it.

I tried to book a party of 12 during Christmas time last year and had trouble at 180 days out. Places that I found accomodated a party of that size were Boma's, Coral Reef (I can't remember if it was at one table or split), and Ohana's, I think if you try other buffets you may have luck as well. I was able to split the party at a couple of other places. Have you tried to book Grand Gatherings?

OP, for what its worth, I called for a MM reservation (same week) for a party of 4 - couldn't get it either.

We are going to be at WDW the same time. I called at 7 a.m. today EDT and I couldn't get what I wanted for breakfast. Ohana is book solid for the week of 7/18-7/25. There are 5 of us. I also couldn't get the times I wanted for dinner.

Maybe if you break down the reservations for a party of 5 and then a party of 6, that might work.

Tried twice to get MM in July for a party of 5 Think that with the reduced shows this is now proving the hottest ticket

Now I am worried. When I talked to the CM they said if you call on the 90th day out at 7:00 am you can get pretty much what you want. We are going the end of Sept. Yikes!

We went at the same time last year and the parks were packed with tour groups. I don't know if that's the problem or not, but maybe???
