I booked ressies at a hotel outside of Disney. We are leaving on Thursday and I found out tonight...by reading posts on another board that the hotel we are supposed to stay in is NOT GOOD. Really bad reviews. I am normally SOOOOOOO careful and I wasn't this time. Does ANYONE know of ANY deals staying ONSITE?? We will be there from May 24th through May 28th. Any help would be appreciated!!

Did you try the *** code for the all stars onsite? The rate is supposed to be $65 per night and supposed to be good through Sep 8.

Other than that... you could try booking a 4* or 3* in the WDW area through priceline (we got our rooms for $40 using the bonus money link below). If you do that dont ever bid lower than 3*s. The Marriott in downtown Disney and the Renaissance maingate pop up a lot in that area and they are both nice. I havent heard of any of the 3 or 4 stars being bad places to stay.

I would look at the informed bidding boards first. Here is the link if you need it.

***Codes available at www.mousesavers.com

Thank you soooooooo much for your replies. I think there is one or two codes on mousesavers that I can use. I also am an AP holder and have Triple A so even if I cant use the codes it should bring it down some. Not to the cost of the other hotel but as they say you get what you pay for. Learned that the hard way this time.

I hope you have better luck than I did. Our trip starts May 25 and we had NO LUCK with any real deals. I've called almost every day for the past two months. We are staying at the yacht club for $209 -- a decent price for that resort but certainly not cheap. That rate was a manager's special. The only AP discounts are at AKL -- for our family of 5 that requires a deluxe room. The only AAA discount I could get was at the Contemporary and it was still over $200. I was unsuccessful getting All-Stars with that code (was quoted $99 a night and I need two rooms) and was quoted $180+ for PO-R with that code. One idea -- there are really good AP rates ending May 23. Can you come early? We couldn't.

We can't go early either because ds is in school and we already took him out one day in March for another trip to Disney. I don't think his teacher would be really understanding if we did it again LOL. My only hope is that being a Florida Resident will help since you said there really weren't any discounts for AAA and AP. Guess I will know in about six hours. I will probably still be up!

IF you can't find a onsite hotel,
TRY the HOLIDAY INN FAMILY SUITES, they are 1 mile outside the Epcot Rd gates on 536. This is where we found the MAGIC!!![ All Star Music was one disaster after another with no Fix from management!!]
And I got an e-mail they were having a sale during May $112. a night!!!

Try joining the Holiday Inn Priority club too on their website. You can do it instantly and check availability right online with the AAA rates or any other discount codes you might have. Good luck!

I called around yesterday and we were able to get in at Caribbean Beach Resort for 149.00 a night. It's rack rate with no discount. Our vacation unfortunately fell in the middle of two discounts :( The cost of the Holiday Inn and CBR were the same for the four days so we decided to go with CBR and stay onsite. Out of the 20 or so times I have been to Disney this will be the first time onsite. I was able to change all our character meal ressies to lunches so that we could take advantage of getting into the parks early. Even though this vacation will cost a lot more than we expected it to we are looking forward to staying onsite at CBR. It looks BEAUTIFUL from the pictures I've seen. Hopefully next time I will be able to plan better around saver codes and we will be able to stay onsite again a little cheaper.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. It was VERY much appreciated!!!

Unctigger I haven't gotten an email yet but I will keep watching for it:D

unctigger I just got your test email. Im emailing back to you now.

You asked for onsite, but have you tried the brand new residence Inn LBV . It opened this month. they have an $89 rate advertised on olandodiscountrooms.com . I just book a 1 BR for our November trip.

It might be a little late now, but have you thought of renting points from a DVC member? You can get really delux accomodations (and even the studio has a fridge, microwave, wet bar) for a very reasonable price?

Watch out though, I did that and it cost me quite a bit--as we liked it so much we ended up buying in!
