I'm having this problem as well. (Not sure why they discontinued the Top Hat version) I decided that the best way to remedy this would be just to remake it yourself. I haven't made mine yet since Im still looking for a top hat to fit my dear's head but it seems like a simple enough DIY project. Plus when I did find one on eBay it was wayyyyy too expensive for what it is.

fireofmarajade I sent you a message a few minutes ago. I might have what you're looking for. I can send you pictures when my husband gets home from work.

I have a friend who is also looking for the top hat! I'm asuming the ears are just glued on? Has anyone made the groom top hat? Where did you buy the top hat?

The ears on the top hats previously sold by Disney were riveted on. If you just want a novelty top hat you can try party supply stores, or you can Google costume shops for a sturdier one. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the responses! I am looking for the riveted one that was sold by Disney. I saw it when I was little.... along with the carriage and feel like they are things I would LOVE to have for the wedding... Atleast I think I can afford the hat!

My DH actually made his and it only took a few minutes. We bought a top hat from Party City for less than $5 or so. Then we went to the Disney store (we have an official outlet near us actually) and bought the cheapest mickey ears we could find at $13. I thought we would have to cut and glue the ears onto the new hat but not at all...the ears pop off (and back on) the original hat very easily so all we had to do was make similar holes in the top hat to stick the ears into. So no glue needed, no worry about ruining either hat, and now he has his choice of mickey ears, mickey top hat, or plain top hat :thumbsup2
