...to serve at my dd's luau birthday party! It will be held outside, so I'd prefer not to use ice cream, if possible. But, I would use i/c if I had to!

Thanks for any suggestions!

We like the Frunch from Boma's. No ice cream & seems tropical, too. The recipe doesn't specify lemonade, but I assumed that's what it meant. However, I substitute a 7.5oz bottle of frozen Minute Maid lemon JUICE and did not add any water - since it really doesn't get reconstituted like the lemonade. We thought it was still plenty sweet that way.

FRUNCH

Yield: 12 servings (1 gallon)

8 oz can Lemon Juice, frozen and canned
8 oz can Pineapple Juice, frozen and canned
8 oz can Orange Juice, frozen concentrate and canned
12 oz Mango Juice
6 ounces Grenadine

This recipe is easier for home use when frozen juice is used.

Follow the package instructions on the frozen juice containers. Mix in a large bowl. Add the mango juice and grenadine. Mix well and server over ice in a tall glass.

...and I did a search for a punch recipe! I saw alot of great ideas that I'm going to "practice" with! But, if you have any other recipes that haven't been posted here before, I would love to see them!

Thanks! ;)

I have to agree with piratesmate. The Frunch recipe is delicious! My kids love it too. I've made it twice since our trip to AKL in February.

I love to cook and have been lurking around here for a while.

This recipe does use ice cream. Take a 1/2 gallon of Breyers Vanilla ice cream (I have tried several brand, Breyers definately makes a difference in flavor with the vanilla bean flecks), put it in the punch bowl (you can cut it in a few pieces if you wish), pour some Seven-up or lemon-lime pop over it (I use a combo of both), stir occasionally, keep adding pop and stirring until bowl is full.

This is so easy, inexpensive, and I get a lot of compliments on this every time I make it. The Breyers ice cream makes it creamy-like and the lemon-lime pop makes it refreshing.

If you try it I hope you like it.

this is a great punch recipe and super easy.

6 ripe bananas mashed
2 cans frozen orange juice
1 can frozen lemonade
3 cans water
1 cup sugar
1 large can pineapple juice

mix all of the above together and freeze. I freeze them in several freezer bags and use them as the punch runs low.

Combine the frozen concoction with either 7Up, Sprite, Ginger Ale etc. I use diet soda and it doesn't taste dietish as all. Break up the mixture somewhat initially and then it will continue to melt down. It also keeps the punch cold.

My family likes for me to make Love Punch. I'm not sure I'd serve it at a kids party due to the grape juice, but you could substitute white grape I suppose.

Love Punch
combine equal amounts of:
orange juice
grape juice
apple juice

Very good and pretty healthy, too.

Sorry I dont have a punch recipe for you, but I have to comment on this. Newmousecateer, I totally agree with you. I havent tried this punch, but I make Frozen Mudslides. They come out absolutely perfect when I use Bryers Vanilla. People always say how good they are and I tell them its because of the Breyers icecream. I dont even usually prefer Breyers when I eat plain icecream, but in a drink it really does make a big difference.
