Help! Last minute stay need advice on resorts!!

We stayed at OKW in 1998 and there were sidewalks all over the place back then. She just didn't cross the street using the crosswalks and stayed on the wrong side of the street.

My kids and I never attempted the walk as we were off at the parks most of the time. I recall the bus swinging out around someone on the road up by the main building and looking to see it was her with her 2 kids. We got int a discussion over it as I was horrified. She was adamant that there were no sidewalks in that area.

BTW - I just goggle mapped OKW and do see sidewalks covering 99% of the resort. the remaining 1% being shaded areas I can't see.

All this said ... I still prefer SSR

We were in a GV in Bldg 22.. No sidewalks for bldg 21 and 22, however no bus traffic either

We were at SSR last fall in the Paddock first building next to the new pool/QS food area. Loved the location!

A lot of people are recommending the Grandstand section--what building are those? I've never stay SSR so I'm not sure at all.

Also forgot to mention that we are smokers--are there smoking areas near the Grandstand section?

And because we waited too long to book it now looks like we may need to do a split stay or change our dates. Last minute trips are HARD! This explains why I plan obsessively for all our other trips

There are benches in the front of the buildings where you can smoke. Just be sure to request a ground floor room..... much more convenient than taking the elevator up and down.

And the trip is now cancelled! DBF's gotten called back to his job earlier than expected so we will have to wait and do our June trip, as planned
