So after that said if this happened at the Poly CL would it bother you, or would you just say it is kids being kids?
THanks so much for posting these replies! I was just  until I read s/o beat me to it. And therein you have the reason why we have these problems in the world. The adults don't lay down consequences for their rudely behaved children, who then grow up and become rudely behaved adults. And thus the crazy cycle continues.
Seems though his wife told him his thought process was off? :thumbsup2
Wish the op would update us but as some have assumed she is probably enjoying her remaining vacation days w/o drama. Hopefully she'll remember to update us when she returns home!

I really hope that things work out for the OP. :goodvibes

Reading her post brought back my horrible memories of AS-Sports. I tried it once not long after it first opened, spent one night and could not get out of there fast enough. We packed up our things(thankfully we had our car) and drove to CBR, checked in and had a nice vacation.

I don't know if there was a sporting or cheering competition there because I did not stay long enough. I just know that there were kids everywhere, the food court was trashed and it was crazy.:sad2:

I have never stayed at an All Stars resort since then but I have tried Pop. Pop is not bad, as long as you are prepared, but I would never stay there if I knew they were hosting a competition.

Ok...hubby's said he's done-we feel a bit different about this!!!! I say that they should behave-he says kids will be kids...opposites attract-I love him but don't always agree with him!!:goodvibes
As far as the comment on you pay for what you get-been there done that-maybe not as far as Disney resorts go, but close enough. We have been fortunate enough to not run into any loud issues anywhere we've stayed-but I did have a nice chat with someone that had a domestic issue at the Poly & needed to call security. There are issues in all the resorts-never hear about large cheering or other groups staying at deluxes so if I know they will be there & that's the only time I can go I will shorten my trip & stay where they are not. I will sign my name too-MISSY! :goodvibes

Missy, I misread you post. Okay, I see your hubby was posting, not you.

Waiting to hear from the OP! I am sure they are busy enjoying their new quieter digs!:wizard:

Sounds like he's not beyond listening to reasoning. That's good. Our problems have been with disruptive adults at offsite hotels. Some of the situations sound funny now but I was upset while it was happening. It can get scary when it's drunken out-of-control adult. Everyone has a right to enjoy their vacations while showing respect to other guests. At any hotel. :goodvibes

Actually I didn't tell him his thought process was off-he just has never experienced the whole cheerleading issue-our kids would never misbehave so he doesn't realize how bad groups can get-any groups -not just cheerleaders. We disipline our kids-they are good and as far as being rude-just not so. I do agree that most of the issues do come from adults-especially ones that just let it happen & laugh along with their kids. Being my husband is in law enforcement he deals with this on a daily basis-honestly he just likes to come here & post now & again-I think I ought to change my name here-he's gonna get everyone mad at ME!!!:scared1:

This is one reason why I dislike having a room right by a hotel pool. It seems that if you get a group of rowdy grownups, they seem to almost always be carrying on by the pool.

I wonder...if Disney soundproofed their rooms more, would these things would be such an issue? I find the rooms poorly soundproofed at the Disney hotels.

I think it would help a lot, but not when there are drunk people throwing glass bottles etc. outside in your hallway at night. (one of the many lovely things we experienced at CSR  )

Missy,

Have him get his own account and name. My DH has his own, and I like it that way. I can say what I want, and he can say what he wants. This way, no one gets mad at me because of something he says. Although, he might have people mad at him all the time, and you might not be able to correct him as easily! :rotfl:

I think it is time for the OP to put her a vacation on hold and stop being so rude leaving us all hanging as we feverishly await for her outcome. Its not like she has anything better to do at this time.

She needs to call Disney Management and tell them to press the pause button on the magic remote so she can take 10 minutes and update her thread. WE ARE ALL WAITING.

Missy, it is nice that you and your husband like children. Many of us do too. I doubt you'll find many threads complaining about children at Disneyworld. However, it is evident from your siggie that you have not experienced what many have dealing with the cheerleaders. Many of these teens are unsupervised, extremely rude and extremely loud. Many of us and our children have been run into, over or knocked down by these kids. Having the loud noise all hours of the day is completely inappropriate. Comparing this to one episode of familial arguing at a luxury resort you stayed at is apples and oranges. If you haven't experienced this, it might be prudent not to be so judgmental of those people who have.

I know-we haven't run into loud obnoxious kids-& I too would be mad if this happened to me- especially at the resorts (we did run into pop warner at the parks & honestly-they weren't bad) Again-I know it's not the same & I didn't experience it...anyway-I think it's great that Disney offers this to performers. The performers, families & coaches are aware that if this behavior happens it can cause them to be disqualified from the event-being that issues happen at the resorts I can't speak for that-I guess if I had a situation with rude behavior then I would probably complain too...I feel if you are on vacation you are there to have a good time-I'm sure the teams feel the same way & they need more guidance when they are in Disney :)

True! Luckily we've run into that type of thing very rarely. It's usually people shouting outside and people being too loud in the room next door and that type of thing.

My sister used to work at the sports complex (not resort) and she said that she knows there is an anti-shoplifting clause in contracts signed by the school groups - if ONE person with a group is caught shoplifting, that school is not allowed back on property. Seems like maybe they should incorporate a noise clause too.

Really? I never thought about that....I heard that the pop warner contract was soon up & Disney people spoke to these grps & told them of the complaints & that the contract wouldn't continue if there behavior & complaints continued but I haven't heard anything more-that could have been just talk too????:confused3

i dont know about anyone else.. but im taking it as a good sign we havent heard from her.. hopefully she is out having fun, having gotten that resolved..

It would make sense to me. She doesn't work at Sports anymore, so I don't know what all is up with that now. But good for Disney for taking a stand if that's true!

I sure hope so!!! I looked at her profile and it said...Last Activity: Yesterday 04:02 PM which was her last post time on here.

Yes I agree. There needs to be a solution. We didn't really have as big a problem at the park. It was at the hotels, and we were at moderates (CBR). I work in a K-8 school and a high school. I love kids. If there was not monitoring at our schools, and the kids could do whatever they wanted at recess, lunch, on the bus, in class, it would be pandemonium. :scared1: It is no different at the resorts. Left unsupervised these teens go bonkers and while individually are good kids, are really out of control with their friends. The noise level is just another issue. I truly agree with folks suggesting that Disney needs to do something. We moved from CBR to a deluxe to get away from this. We should have written several letters as well. We did not. If every person that experiences this contacts Disney about this, then perhaps they will do something.

I think she's lurking and laughing at all of us.

I'll admit it - I HAVE NO LIFE! :scared1: I'M FROM THE NE!!! ALL I SEE IS BLINDING WHITE NO MATTER WHERE I TURN!!! :scared1:

What am I going to do when I go to work in an hour with no internet access!!!:scared: How will I know how it ends? If it ends?
First the snow and now Erin! It's a conspiracy! Make the madness end!!!

Phew, I feel better now! :goodvibes
