Help! iphone 5 with no plan

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get an iphone 5 with no plan? I want to give it to my boyfriend for Christmas. Thanks

If he's using it with a contract carrier, direct through Apple. If he uses a prepaid carrier it will depend on which one he uses.

YOu will need to know which carrier he plans to use it with. Different companies use different systems and different towers.

Also, will he have a plan at some point? It will be far cheaper to get it through the carrier he plans to use.

If he want a pre-paid plan, be prepared to pay full price (over $550) for a new phone.

A new unlocked iPhone 5 (can buy from Apple, WalMart, etc.), is going to cost between $549.00-849.00, depending on size.

Just purchased a Straight Talk iPhone 5 16g for $549. There really aren't any "deals" to be had for non-contract. But it ends up being cheaper than in the long run.
