Help!International buyer questions

Hi
I have a buyer from Germany interested in a cookbook. Asked to pay by IBAN and BIC(swift) payment to bank. Anyone familiar with this. Does paypal work from Germany? What should I tell buyer? Any help out there would be appreciated?

I don't know about that other form of payment but I have had multiple transactions with Europe and they all paid with paypal....

Yes, Germany transactions can be made via PayPal....it is convenient and offers protection, but then again some people have had their moments : www.paypalsucks.com . You need to make sure you follow their rules and comply with their TOS (terms of service). Thru my 6 years of ebaying I haven't had a problem with domestic or international sales and accepting PayPal... knock on wood. lol

IBAN/BIC is basically referring to an electronic payment order. If you go this route I would at least wait until you receive confirmation that payment "cleared" and funds have been transferred until you mail your item out. BTW ... IBAN stands for International Bank Account and BIC stands for Bank Identification Code.
