I'm wondering if your inlaws are also from MA, if yes then I would pick AKL or WL for the change in Architecture and grounds. The other hotels on your list are based on New England arch and may look like knock-offs to them. But AKL or WL would be a fantastic change with more of a resort feel.

See thats what I'm worried about too, I'm from NE but I love BC/YC. Actually I really just love the Epcot resort area!! :lovestruc, I'm just nervous that they will not like it!! Our last trip we stayed at SSR, and loved it!! We were actually supposed to stay at AKL last August, but got moved over to SSR because of the construction!! :sad1: I was so sad! I would defiantly love to stay there again. I'm just so torn between the 4! I love the Epcot resorts because of their options, proximity, and travel choices from park to park. We loved SSR too! and I'd love to try AKL finally! Why do I have to be such a disney perfectionist!!!! :lmao: I wish I was one of those newbies who are kinda oblivious to the choices!

I would say the Beach Club because it's near Epcot and Hollywood Studios. However, I can see hoosl's point that AKL is so different from New England.
BTW, I went to Methuen for a wedding in 1995. I love this part of Massachusetts!

I love BC, I defianly wanted to WOW them with the grounds and the amazing pool!! and location, ahhhh so many choices!!

Its funny that you mention coming to Methuen! Most people dont even know where we are!! :rotfl: What time of year did you come for the wedding you were at? We have great foliage in the fall here! :goodvibes

Thank you everyone !! I really appreciate all of you expert insight and advice!! its so helpful comparing with fellow disers!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I would pick the Yacht Club or Boardwalk. I love the BC too but it is harder to get a room with a full balcony. We are BCV owners. Have you thought of renting points from a DVC owner? I love that we can drive right up to the BCV's. There is no long walk from the parking lot to the resort. The AKL is great too but you are too away from everything.I would book adr's there for dinner and go early to see the resort. Your parents might enjoy hotel hopping when you dine:) Have fun:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

a few years ago, my parents came to WDW with dh and i. we stayed at BC and my parents loved it! my family had stayed there 10 years before, it was my birthday and so i got to choose the resort. in many family vacations to WDW, it was the first time we stayed off the monorail - my dad was really worried about transportation and did not want to stay at BC. but on staying there, he loved it. when i picked it for the trip a few years ago, my parents were excited about staying there again. they really like the proximity to the back entrance of EPCOT and the boat rides to DHS. the pool at BC is wonderful, and we love the atmosphere of the resort. sounds like a great trip you're planning, enjoy!

Beach club wins! The theming is so calm and relaxing. The pool is huge and there are also quiet pools which are nice at night (SAB shuts up about 10pm). We were in the villas so we used the pool close to that after the parks for a cool down and chill out session. YC is next door and has a fab restaurant - Yachtsman Steakhouse (DH is still raving 12 months later!).

The easy walk to Epcot is one of BC's biggest advantages. 5 minutes to International Gateway. It was really nice to walk through World Showcase before it opened and see the countries wthout all the crowds. BW is also close but I prefer the theme of BC and BC has a much better pool. You can walk or boat to BW for a nice stroll along the BW and clubs, restaurants.

AKL is gorgeous but a little out of the way. Long bus ride to MK from there. Big plus is animals outside the window (if you have a Savannah room). AKL is very relaxing and much quieter than BC or BW but its location lets it down compared to the other two.

SSR looks very nice but we have only visited. It is our home resort but we have never stayed there as we prefer the locations of others.
