Help! ING Direct Is anyone else having a problem with their kids accounts?

I opened my account and my kids (2) accounts in Feb. joint with mine. I used my email addy, (we all share). I received email confirmation for the refereal bonuses, and their opening bonuses. but they were never credited to the account. I've spoken with CS on the phone several times. they tell me that we don't get them because we share the same email addy and it's just like me referring myself. they've been downright nasty at times. I don't have any other referrals, so I don't know if I'd have problems with them otherwise. Is anyone else having this problem? Please let me know! and if not, would anyone be willing to tell ING that they let you do it without any problems? we really need the extra $$$ for a trip to disney. we took our son for 1 day 3 years ago, and our daughter has never been there.

No problems here. I opened accounts for 3 kids, dh & me all on the same e-mail addy. Got all the bonuses and closed the accounts.

Sounds like ING wised up to the fact that people were just opening accts for the bonuses..
 

I didn't have a problem either, but I used the kids' email addresses. I'm still the joint name on their accounts and the accounts are linked to my checking account. Like dolphincrazy said, I thought they went by SS#, not email addresses.

Maybe it's because I have regular deposits being made to their accounts as well. And DD actually has more in her account than I have in mine due to the fact that I closed the childrens' savings accounts at our local bank and transferred the money into their ING accounts.

Are the accounts still open? Who is the first name on each of the accounts? If you can't get any satisfaction from the customer service rep that you're speaking with, ask for a supervisor. Offer to provide any documentation that they need. I don't think it will help to have one of us tell them that we were able to do it without a problem. Good luck. I hope it all works out for you.
 
yes, the accounts are still open. I have spoke to 3 different supervisors, they've all said they'll investigate and call me back within 48 hours, they never do. they are joint accounts with my children names on them as primary. You'd think since I have all of the emails stating I would get the referral bonuses and they would get the opening bonuses, they'd have to honor their offer.
