Help! Impetigo healing, but Itches!!!

I have impetigo in the corner of my ear (not the canal). I'm putting prescription antibiotic ointment on it 3 times a day and refuse to touch it without a qtip because it's contageous (but it's in a very awkward spot so it's not easy to access). I'm disinfecting my phone tonight and changing my pillow cases. I've been on the ointment since Monday.

Please help me!!! It ITCHES like the devil and it's driving me crazy

Besides removing my ear does anyone have any suggestions????

NO advice just for you. The only thing I can think of is like Caladryl or Aveeno ointment.

I had that once and I would scratch it using a kleenex and then wash my hands really, really good.
