Is there any way I can check availability at resorts without waiting to call MS? I almost can't wait 14 more hours til they open. Southwest Airlines FINALLY came up with a great fare for our area to Orlando. When I told DH, bless his heart, he said, "So when are you going?" He can't take the time off, and I often go to WDW solo, but not on such short notice like this! I wasn't really serious (Well.....) But if I can get a studio in late August or early September at the BCV or BWV, I'm there! So what do you think my chances are?

People say that's a slower time, so sure! I'm hoping theres something you can use for those dates!

I think you can pretty much start packing any time now. When the kids have just gone back/about to go back to school is one othe slowest times for WDW and DVC.

I think you have a great chance the beginning of sept and a OK chance the last week of Aug. Kids will be going back to school the end of Aug. and FL. kids go back to school i think the begging of aug. i had a hard time getting the first week in aug . a couple of years ago when i tried booking in june.

I just thought of one more thing (mind is racing 100 mph). What time does MS open? Is it 8:00 eastern time or 9:00?

Well, I called this morning and got BWV studio for 8/23-8/26. That was my second choice after BCV, but there was no availability at BCV. And even at BWV, I have a preferred view for one night, then Boardwalk View (YAY!) for other two. I wasn't surprised to learn that SSR and OKW studios were available for all 3 nights. But what I was surprised at was that I could have gotten VWL for all 3 nights (but I really wanted an Epcot resort). And I was surprised that BCV wasn't available at all(although I must admit that having a BW view for 2 nights kind of takes the disappointment away-that view is breathtaking!) And I didn't know I could do this-I'm on 2 waitlists-one for a BW view studio for that first night (so I wouldn't have to change rooms) and also for a BCV studio for all 3 nights. I guess I'll go with whichever comes first. So, now that I'm reserved, anyone else planning to be there those dates?
