I've been reading the boards and trying to plan everything for so long now that I'm totally burned out. :badpc:

Muttering to myself...Do we really need misting fans? Ponchos? Am I packing too much? Not enough? Do we really need to order a case of water since the kids will probably whine for cold cokes all day anyway? Do I pack or ship costumes? How many suitcases? :earseek:

We're leaving in two weeks and now I don't wanna go! The stress of preparing is killing me! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :guilty:

That's a bummer, dudedisney! Tonight, sit down with a beverage of choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic - your choice!) and reflect. What really makes a perfect vacation? Is it rain ponchos? nice, but no. Is it misting fans? ummm, no. Is it spending time with people you love? BINGO!

The kids aren't going to remember that you forgot to pack the red shorts or whatever (well, after the first few minutes, that is), but they are going to remember the time they spent with you - that to them is the most perfect thing you could ever give them.

Take it from the daughter of imperfect parents (yes, we'd go to the parks without a plan! GASP!) Just being there with them brings back very fond memories indeed!!

Enjoy your trip!

Fans? No
Ponchos? Yes. Do you have a stroller? Bring a rain cover for it... they are not sold at the parks. If you can afford it, don't buy the ponchos till the first rainstorm... you may luck out! :umbrella:
Have you packed too much? Probably.
Water? Yes. If kids older, you can get away with drinking at fountains. (I made a game out of it... Let's stop at every fountain!) If pre-K kids, bring bottled water (one is enough if you can all share), and refill at drink fountains.
Cokes all day? oooh yuck - I would disallow soda entirely. I would consider watered down juice or milk for pre-K kids... unless they are happy to drink extra water.
Costumes? I don't get this question!?
Suitcases? 1 large per every 2 people.

Did that help? ::MickeyMo
