Hi all,

I am totally addicted to TourGuideMike. I am spending so much time with "him" and all his great information. Any one else have this "problem"?

I know I know I know :sad2: I've never spent so much time on the computer... why do you think? I'm so afraid I haven't "soaked" in all the info I guess!!!
My husband thinks I've gone over the deep end! :rotfl2:
Hopefully this addiction will pay off! I'm just not sure what I'm going to do with all my time when I get back... :confused3

I actually find it overwhelming. It's too much stuff.

I think I'll like it better once my "express planner" and his advice on which parks during which day comes up for my trip, but I'm going in October 06 and he doesn't have those pages up yet because hours just came out.

I tend to plan by figuring out which parks on which days and then working backwards.

:rotfl2:Last year my hubby thought I was spending too much time with Mike!
Then we followed Mike's advice-fabulous trip. This year dear hubby insisted that I spend time with Mike!! He said that Mike helped us to have the best trip in 20 years of WDW vacations. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm with the other poster...I don't "get" TourGuideMike yet. I payed today and am just overwhelmed by his website. I was trying to figure out what to do because we are switching hotels mid-week and it didn't seem to give me that option. It's too overwhelming and I needed a "frustration" break after 5 minutes.

oh please post - I just joined, and am doing a split stay!! If you learn anything pm me!!

I signed up for TGM a mere 10 days before our trip, so I was very attached to him during that 10 day period. We just got back from WDW yesterday and I can honestly say that the many many hours I spent with Mike was time well spent. I personally found his site pretty easy to navigate and although there was a LOT of information, I didn't think it was overwhelming.

Hi guys,

OP here. When I first joined TGM, I was so overwhelmed, too. But take it one step at a time. Start with the section about which days he recommends for which park. Then go to Day 1- morning, what park? Then see what he recommends for your first attraction, then second, etc. Then go to Day 1- evening- what park? And so on. Soon you will have your list compiled. It will take a bit of time but it seems so well worth it.

He has great info about where to watch the parades, recommended dining times, etc. Just be patient. But I do understand your frustration- it is a lot of info. :badpc:

Good luck=====and I am going to try to get some sleep. But you may see me on TGM at 3 in the morning! I can't get enough!

I joined a week ago, and am just lovin' soakin' up the info! We are going in Nov., and I am eager for the Nov 2006 info to come out. :cool1:

I sign in at least twice a day, sometimes more, and spend a lot of time there when I am signed in. This will be our first trip using TGM so I am trying to really soak it all in. :surfweb:

I too just signed up yesterday for it. The site is so packed with great info it is overwhelming at first. I found it easier to just print off a lot of the touring examples and best days to visit the parks (double siding is a must) and put them in a tabbed binder. Now I have one section for each park, one for "other" stuff and one for best days to visit. I've already scratched out a rough itinerary so am just going to fine tune it.

Now that I have everything printed out that I'm interested in, it's much easier to digest. It's almost TMI but it's awesome ;)

I just got back from a 3/25-4/1 trip during the busy season. I had read so much about TGM, that I had to check it out for myself. I admit, I was a little skeptical. Even after asking many times "Are you sure it works?", I was afraid to go during a busy season. We've never been during the heavy crowds and we aren't the type that can just walk around soaking it in and be happy about it. We like rides, rides, and more rides.

Let me just say - I am a believer in TGM!! I printed all the info about our trip and three-hole punched it into a ring binder - nerd, I know - but we were amazed at how on the mark he is. For those of you that are overwhelmed or think the site is too busy, just keep at it. It is INVALUABLE info.

To the OP - yes, I was HOOKED in the weeks before our trip! I feel like I want to meet him because he called me by name so many times!! :)

If any one has questions pertaining to the TGM AVP you'll get the answers you need and probably more efficiently by posting right there in the TGM forums on Mike's site. We are a great group of folks over there and always willing to help our new "family members"!

I know the original post wasn't a specific question but if one should arise check over on the message boards there, you'll get help pretty quickly.

Mike is right on with his advice and I won't plan a trip without using TGM.

This was also my experience. There is a lot of info there, and I do not know how it could be better organized that it already is.

I have a question about the TGM website: Does Tour Guide Mike sit at the top of the page staring at you like he does here on the DIS? ;)

I was so overwhelmed when I joined this weekend but I already feel more comfortable with it. I've been to wdw many times and I thought I knew it all, but I've already gotten so much new information! I guess I'm addicted too :)

I plan to join soon for out late July trip- can you give me an idea of what he tells you- like does he recommend restaurants or more like what order of rides to do on which day. I am definitely using him b/c it will be hot an dcrowded.

Add me to the list of people who joined yesterday. I had a feeling that I would be spending a lot of time with Mike--so I would not let myself sign up until after I finished my tax returns! Yes, I am spending a lot of time there! :thumbsup2

I joined TGM after all the praises here. I like the web-site has a lot of info, my Oct best days are coming soon, I've read A LOT, but i just haven't gotten the "WOW" factor yet. I haven't read anything startling that I haven't found out here. I like it, just looking for something to WOW me. Hopefully after my trip or during I'll say WOW!!!!
