I need some help with rides! I do not like to spin, go fast, upside down, or too much motion! Does this leave me out of pretty much all the rides in Universal and IOA? Do I have to spend all my time in the Ghostbusters show with FlyFly? Do I need to buy my own yellow cushion for the shows while my family spends all their time on rides which I won't go on?:hyper: :

There are lots of things for you to do. The simulator rides all have stationary seats, you can turn off the spin on Cat in the Hat, you can go on ET and see the Animal Show, don't do Back to the Future but go on Jaws and Earthquake and Twister.

At IOA you are somewhat more limited but if you are not too scared of getting wet you can go on Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Barges and maybe Jurassic Park. Do Spiderman but skip the coasters and Dr. Doom.

LOL you almost make it sound like that's a BAD thing!!! :p :p ;)

Also, check out the Horror Makeup Show...it's hilarious!!

You should be fine, but you will do more at Universal Studios than IOA. I am sure you will have fun at both. My wife can be a "scaredy-cat" on rides and loved both parks.

I don't like rides either, but I can go on most of the things at Univesal/IOA. I will not go on roller coasters or flumes at all, even the kiddie type LOL. Don't go on back to the future, it isn't the motion from that ride it is the simulator that will do you in. Men In Black should be fine for you. It does move, and has a little spinning, but you are busy trying to shoot aliens so you are not focused on the ride. ET is great. I was a little hesitant to go on Spiderman. For some reason I had it in my head it was a coaster type ride. After much convincing (and striking a deal with my 11 year old) I went on it. It is a fantastic ride! Not a roller coaster, great special effects. I think if your family knows how you are, and if you can trust them not to pull a quick one on you
LOL, let them go on first and then tell you if they think it is a ride you could go on.
I think the nice thing about Universal/IOA is that they have managed to create rides that wimps like me can go on yet keep them exciting for ride lovers?daredevils!

I'm not a thrill ride person either - would often get sick on them especially on spinning rides and roller coasters. Now, I skip breakfast and I try to get on all "thrill rides" before lunch.

Definitely do. We were riding Dueling Dragons and as we were getting to board, someone was losing their breakfast!!!!

LOL SpideyHulk!!! :p Lovely view, I'm sure...

Anyway, why miss out on the fun? I have ridden Hulk many times and then one time my friend and I each got a personal pizza at Comic Strip Cafe and shared a mousse and soda and then we ran over to Hulk and got on. Talk about a completely new ride!!! :p Think butterflies in your stomach multiplied by 100...but in a good way...not feeling sick...

OK, maybe my friend and I are just the "lucky few" who have high tolerence for such crazy things :p

No, it's not a bad thing at all!!! Actually, I am going to look for you and your yellow cushion!!!:wave2:

I've ridden the following after eating and have been fine:

Hulk, Storm Force (with very fast spinning), Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, BTTF, MIB.

I am lucky. :)

Thanks everyone for your replies! I will be there from Nov7th till the 12th. Me, my Dh and my 2dd's who love all kinds of rides. I usually just sit near the ride and wave when they go by:wave2: I do not have a problem with that, I just wish I had the nerve to go on some.

cool |uvtogo!!! I'm there Nov. 8 thru 11, so you can join me at every show each of those days ;) (only kidding...no...I'll seriously be there but don't expect you to :p)

In the past both Hulk and Dueling Dragons made me feel qeassy after riding them...I even skipped the both my last trip!

I found a way around my motion sickness this trip and it worked!!!

I rode Mission Space at Epcot , Dueling Dragons and the Hulk with no problems!!!

First thing each morning I took Meclizine (over the counter) and then ate breakfast...making sure I didn't take ride any rides for aleast an hour.

As always check with your Doctor before you take any drugs...
