Let me make this L O N G story short. We had a rough year with extended family issues...I couldn't take the pressure, so what does one do...one books a trip to DISNEYWORLD!! I booked a spur of the moment trip on New Year's eve. We are leaving Thursday January 22 and coming back Sunday, January 25. My dilemma is it is supposed to RAIN on Friday and Saturday, the TWO days we are going to be there!! We are going to MK and Epcot on Friday, and lust laying low on Saturday, but I don't have flexibility since it is such a short trip to worry about RAIN!!! I've been in July and rain means eveing downpours...what does rain in January mean?? We are going to get a rain cover for the stroller and 3 umbrellas for the rest of us. It is also our darling souviner's first trip (but he is only 9 mo. old) but STILL!!! I am trying to look on the BRIGHT side but it's tough!! I can just hope the forecast is WRONG!!!!! Please give me some encouragement!! Rain or no rain, we will be at MK and Epcot on the 23.

I don't know about rain in the winter in FL, but I wouldn't despair...that is a whole week away, and the forcast may change before then. Prepare for the worse, but hope for the best!

Don't despair. The rains don't last long. Pesonally, I would get ponchos from the dollar store and throw out after each use. They are much easier to navigate with than umbrellas.

The rain may also be a blessing on a short trip. I walked into MK as it was raining at 5pm one night (11pm closing) and I had to look at my watch again. The crowds coming toward me were huge, I literally had to fight my way in. It was terrific because since everyone left I walked right onto things like buzz light, adventures og pooh, etc.

Have a great time
Sandy

Sometimes rain can be a good thing. Think of LOW crowds because everyone else is trying to stay dry. If the temps are decent then go for the parks. I've been to the Animal Kingdom in the rain and I loved it. My feet were soaked but other than that it was great. The best part was that when I went to the Festival of the Lion King they were letting everyone sit down on the floor in the handicapped seating. Up close and personal. It was great. And in the restrooms at the Animal Kingdom they have those new super hand dryers that dry everything in site in just a couple of minutes.

Thanks for the encouragement!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for no rain!
