Help!!! I need comfortable sandals.

I bring Tevas (standard issue 3 strap kind), Crocs Athens (flip flop) and Crocs Adara (crisscross strap over top of foot).

The Crocs athens are my favorite, but they give me a blister on one of my heels if I go the whole trip wearing them nonstop. I usually go 2 days on Crocs Athens, then switch to one of the other two, then go another 2 days...etc. On the off-days I can tell that I'm not nearly as comfortable as I am in my athens :D

I just got back from 7 days in the parks. I alternated between 3 pairs of shoes - Crocs Capri flipflops, Crocs Adaras, and Tevas. All felt wonderful even after the 12-15 miles per day.

By far, my Sanuk Yoga Mat flip flops were my favorite shoes on our last trip (we were there 9 days). They are cute, extremely comfortable, and I had no signs of blisters (neither did the 4 other people in our group that I'd talked into buying some!). I had gotten some Reefs prior to our trip, but they gave me a huge blister the first time I tried them out. If I go back in the summer again, I don't think I'll need anything but my Yoga Mats. Definitely check them out - I've never heard anything negative about these sandals.

i just saw these at sports authority today and wondered how they would be for our upcoming trip... i came searching here and i knew i'd find a DIS'er who had some info on them!
so, do you still recommend them? my crocs athens are my other favorite pair, but i am looking for something new!

thanks!

My vote is for Teva's ..good support, toe protection , lightweight and in some models water resistant...they are tough to find in Canada..I have to order from the US....

Chacos are the best sandals known to man!!!

I love my chacos (flipflops and sandals) get the ones with the toe loop. Theys stay on better than a tennis shoe. Seriosly these sandals are made for serouse hiking so they are perfect for WDW. Truth be told you can't go wrong with Chacos, tevas, or Keens. I'm not a big fan of Crocs no real reason just don't like them so much.

Best advice I have is buy your sandals from Zappos.com they will ship them free, and give you 365 days to return the shoes at their expense. Best website ever for real customer service.

Try a Winners store. I recently bought a pair of Teva sandals (ladie's Kayenta) for $40 CAN. On the Teva site they are $70 US. They had a few different styles there, both men's and ladie's.

I recently purchased a pair of Teva Mush flip flops to try on our trip this May as well. Hopefully between the two pairs and my Nike flip flops, my feet will survive. I ALWAYS get blisters from running shoes and socks at Disney. Can't wait to get there to try them out!!!:goodvibes

I took advice from some on here and bought the croc capri flip flops. I can't stand the way crocs look, so I gave these a try. OMG!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!

I'm trying out some Merrell Pesaros this trip. They are so wonderfully comfortable, breathable, lightweight and supportive without being ultra rigid, and they're cute too. I've also got some Teva Mush flip flops for around the resort.

I've got wide feet and huge high arches and find the Tevas just are not great for peeps with wide feet such as myself. The best flip flop that I have found are the Nike Celso Plus. (I'm assuming the plus is for wide feet) I LOVE THEM! I've had zero problems since I started wearing them at WDW. I alternate between Celsos and my Mickey Crocs but always seem to go back to my Nikes.:goodvibes

I always start my day out with tennis shoes and then after lunch switch to crocs. Just be sure to break them in first. Although my 2 DDs bought the Mickey Mouse crocs at WDW and wore them the rest of the trip....10 days total.

I have planter flanticis-heel pain. I just bought Keen sandals(enclosed sandals/support like a sport shoe) just to wear around the house. They are working great even tho they are expensive but I was tired of the pain. I have to wear some type of support even walking around the house. I bought New Balance tennis shoes and I will have the sandals for our upcoming trip to WDW in June. On the plus side if I need to wear "no show" socks with them I can because they are for hiking.

I hate reading that people think Crocs are ugly, because there are now so many types, and you just have to be thinking of what must be the "original" Crocs.

I have several pair of Crocs Cleos. I have received so many questions about them and compliments on their looks. I am about to buy my next pair when the color I want comes back in stock.(chocolate/khaki)

So, check out the fun styles- your feet will thank you!:yay:

Oh- I do agree that "those" crocs are ugly;) - mine are cute though and so so comfy!

mmm, not necessarily.
I actually think the Mary Jane and Cleo styles are the ugliest.
The only Croc styles that I think are cute are the capri flip flop style. <--which I'm trying out for my next trip.

I also love the fit flop (which I got from Victorias Secret), nike celso, and a regular pair of tommy hilfiger flip flops (I lasted 17 hours in these one day, with no pain! And normally I have blisters and am achy after about 3 hours)

I adore crocs flip flops! If you cannot do the thong-style, there are other crocs sandals that are not the traditional "ugly" style! Good luck!

I, too, love my Crocs - wear them every trip. I also just got a pair of Merrill Palmettos that I am breaking in for my next trip. They are really comfy!

I LOVE my Crocs Capris. If you can deal with flip flops they are some of the most comfy shoes I've ever owned. i wear them anywhere and they kind of massage my feet too ;)

I'm bringing those, my Steelers crocs and my skechers :)

The REEF slap walking sandle(filp flop) We can't live without them. You can find them at Dillards or online. They are comfy and cute. They come in all sizes from toddler to adult. Good luck!!!:thumbsup2
