Help!!! I need comfortable sandals.

I take both Crocs and Keens and alternate. Love both of them and no blisters since I dumped my Nikes and Reeboks as park wear!

I did a 5 K a week before our big trip to Disneyland

I got terrible blisters from the 5K...

With the Croc Adara I was able to walk all day on those blisters with no problems.

Another vote for Merrells and Tevas. I got the Tevas first and thought they were the best ever. Then I discovered Merrells and now have a closet full of them. That's all I wore on our last trip and what I plan to wear when we go week after next. There are lots of different styles to choose from so there's a good chance of finding one that will work for you.

Just got back and wore a pair of Merrell Senise sandals the entire week- got them the week before the trip. Best pair of shoes- no blisters, good support and comfort.

I'm a flip flops girl all summer long and even in Disney. Reefs are sooo comfy. Definitely get the ones with the fabric strap (whatever you call it) not the plastic. My reefs have a nice thick fabric strap and I usually buy a new pair just before the trip so they are still nice and squishy and haven't formed to my feet yet. These are the ones that I get. They come in different colors, I have 4 pairs!!

I've worn Nike sandals forever. I get a new pair every year. They are like the Teva style but more comfy. It took me 2 years to get my wife to try some. To ugly she said. But now she loves them as well.

All I ever have worn in the hot weather trips are Reef and Teva Mush. The Teva Mush wide straps (not the thin straps) were the best due to the mush thick soles and higher arch. The Reef also were great just not quite as great as the Teva Mush.

I also wore my all terrain trail runners, Salomon. The Salomon's "breathe" and dry quickly if wet. I love them because for an athletic running shoe they are comfy and airy.

This December I will wear my Merrell clogs, they are like walking on pillows and perfect for Orlando December weather.

Tevas, Birks, or Crocs. Take your pick. Any of the three are great. Tevas stay on the best, Birks are slightly "dressed up", but Crocs dry fastest.

My mom and I tried the crocs, but hated them. There wasn't enough support for walking on the pavement. Last year we wore Keen's and loved them. We took a pedometer and walked over 50 miles over 7 days with no problems. My mom has always gotten blister in the past, but not this time.

Another tip is Body Glide. It is suppose to help keep you from getting blisters.

I vote for Teva Mush flip flops. I first read about them on this forum and let me say - I am in LOVE with them. I have worn them shopping ALL day and felt great. I would definitely wear them to Disney world. I think they would be much cooler than closed shoes and no where to rub blisters. Just my 2 cents!

I have plans to return to Disney in August 2009. Everytime we go I usually wear sneakers for comfort but always end up getting a blister by the 2nd day. Then I am in discomfort for the remaining trip. Can anyone recommend a very comfortable walking sandal that I can try?:cool1:

We just returned from WDW and I must say that both my Mom and myself now swear by the Teva Mush flip flops!!! They were great!!! I wore them everyday except one day, which I decided to wear my Merrills, which were okay, but I switched back to the Teva's and they were great!!!!

I'll take "ugly" over uncomfortable ;) The two pairs of shoes I will be taking next trip, (also did that last trip and had no blisters)
Crocs: MARY JANE is the answer to the uglies :rotfl: I actually got compliments on these when they first came out.
Teva Mush Flip Flops: These are amazing. But now to figure out how to get people to "back off" and not step on the backs of them :headache:

This is the first year I had NO feet problems (blisters, aches, pain, etc) and I wore my nasty, broken all in, Birkenstocks.

I agree with another poster that I'll take ugly over uncomfortable. Actually, I think the Disney women's Crocs are kinda cute with the colors they have. I have a pair of CrocsRx that I wear to work and I love them.

I'm not a huge fan of Crocs, but obviously a lot of folks like them.

I personally like the Teva Dozer's, which are a closed toe sandal with a velcro strap. They pretty much immobilize your foot..any sandal that moves around is going to cause blisters.

I hate reading that people think Crocs are ugly, because there are now so many types, and you just have to be thinking of what must be the "original" Crocs.

I have several pair of Crocs Cleos. I have received so many questions about them and compliments on their looks. I am about to buy my next pair when the color I want comes back in stock.(chocolate/khaki)

So, check out the fun styles- your feet will thank you!:yay:
