spinach, apricots, peaches, pineapples, nut nuts (peanuts okay), sour cream, cream cheese or meatballs (chopped up meatballs okay, primarily meatball no good.)

No fresh fruit. Also nothing Asian. Or too spicy.

No beer. No liquor that has any of the forbidden ingredients in it.

eta: No seafood, please.

:faint:

Help me. I'm sinking.

Brie in puff pastry.

Thaw and lay out puff pastry. Spread raspberry jam on pastry. Place Brie on jam and put more jam on top. Wrap the pastry around the Brie and brush with a beaten egg. Bake at 350 until golden, serve with crackers.

I also put candied jalapeños on top off the jam but you said nothing spicy. They are not very hot so you might try it.

Good Luck

Boiled shrimp

Cheese and crackers

Carrots and celery sticks, with or without dip

If you're familiar with Chili's Skillet Queso, then this recipe is very similar. Mix one can of no bean chili with one jar of salsa con queso in a covered glass dish, and microwave for 3 minutes. I use the medium salsa con queso and don't think it's too spicy, but you could use mild. You can double or triple the recipe depending on how many you're serving, and also place it in a crock pot to keep warm. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips.

Get the Tostito's Scoop Chips and fill with taco meat (season to your own taste) and top with a little shredded cheese, maybe finely diced tomatoes, and for others who may want some, a bit of sour cream.

Also, you can get those squared dinner rolls from your grocery store bakery and make mini-gourmet burgers - let others garnish with gourmet mustard, pickles, diff. cheeses, etc.

One of our favorite appetizers that gets completely consumed in minutes is the little smokies wrapped in bacon and covered with brown sugar.

They are simple to make and delicious.

Wrap little smokies in bacon, securing with a tooth pick. Place in a casserole dish.

Cover with brown sugar.

Bake at 350 for an hour.

Let cool slightly.

Place on serving tray.

Stuffing, sausage, veggies (etc) wrapped in bacon. You can do lots of different foods done that way :)

How much work do you want to do?

Lil Smokies in BBQ or SweetnSour (Currant jelly and Mustard)
Crescent Rolls cut and pressed into mini muffin pan filled with ham and cheese, pepperoni and cheese, taco filling or whatever else you dream up.
Guacamole and chips

nothing... telll them to bring their own darn dish

We make this every year for New Years and everyone seems to like them...

Sausage Balls

2 cups Bisquick
1 pound breakfast sausage
10 oz. shredded cheddar cheese

Put everything in the bowl and mix. This is easiest to do with your hands though it feels pretty gross at this stage.

Roll the mixture into balls, a little smaller than golf balls.

Place the sausage balls on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degress F for about 20 minutes. The Bisquick balls should be lightly browned wtih the meat cooked through.

Don't know what the heck it's called but I basically brown 1lb sausage and 1lb ground meat (I use ground turkey) and then melt about half a lb. of velveeta into the meats.

Put a tablespoon of the meat/cheese mixture on those little rye cocktail breads and bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes...

That's what I'm making for NYE

This was the one I was going to suggest. :thumbsup2

Pepperoni bites

one package of pizza dough - 1 package of whole pepperoni(they come in 2 stick packages here) parm cheese - 1 jar marinara sauce

Just cut up the pepperoni into bite sized chunks, rip off some dough and mush it around the bite sized meat chunk, line the balls on a cookie sheet - sprinkle with the cheese and bake at 350 until the dough is browned. Serve with the heated sauce to dip.

Thanks, everyone!!!!

LOL. That's what I should have done, but it's automatic with me, "What can I bring?" :faint: Now I have to come up with an appetizer for a group of people who can't eat anything. I usually make a peach-based rib thing - it's really good - but peaches and apricots are out, lol.

I was hoping to avoid "Pigs in a blanket", but with some of the weinie twists the DIS has provided, I think I might be able to pull it off.

There's only so much you can do with all these restrictions.

DS suggested Gansta Burg. I didn't even ask what that was - don't wanna know.

Seroiusly... if there are that many restrictions bring a bottle of wine and some crackers/cheese and call it a day.

TJ's makes some nice 3 buck chuck.
