Help...I Need A State Quarter

I've also been collecting 5 sets. If I need a particular quarter or quarters, I just head down to good old Atlantic City. Deposit a $20.00 bill in a slot machine and hit "cash out". Take whatever quarters I need, cash in the rest and do it all over again until I get what I need.

I checked out that site and it has Mississippi listed as being the last Quarter for this year. But the Quarter Map I bought my daughter has it listed as the first one for this year.

Patinmn and I exchanged quarters at last year's DIScon. The funny thing is that, when I put my camera bag through the scanner at the airport, they re-xrayed the bag about 3 times before they asked me if they could hand search it. It turns out that $10 worth of quarters in a ziplock bag looks mighty suspicious to an airport xray machine.

DH is obsessed with the state quarters! He has never spent a single one, believe it or not. He keeps each and every state quarter he has ever received in large ziplock bags and stores them away! I think he is a little wacky! If he sees me about to spend one, he stops me, and pulls a regular quarter out of his pocket!

Krissalee! He is obsessed!! LOL I roll them as fast as I can for WDW savings. No change is safe around me... I see it as automatic Mickey Money!

Hunter is collecting one from each state. She might do more if I wasn't grabbing them and rolling them!

I've been saving these, too, and I have TONS of them! But I have no idea what I do and don't have. I just don't spend any "new quarters" and put them away somewhere. (I guess it's sorta weird, but I save all kinds of coins: old pennies, new pennies, bicentennial quarters, Susan B. Anthony dollar coins, the newer gold dollar coins.)

If anyone is still looking for some, let me know and I'll search for 'em.

Anyone can PM me if they need any quearters they do not have.

A suggestion to collectors....DH puts a piece of masking tape on the outside of a plastic baggie, and puts the quarters in accordingly. This way we can easily find a state.

He keeps all of the baggies in a bigger bag.

Thank you newmousecateer for the New York quarter! If anyone has New Jersey, I am looking for four! Alright here goes my list of what I need ( and it is long!): 1 Rhode Island, 3 Ohio, 2 Maryland, 2 North Carolina, 3 Pennsylvannia, 1 Conneticutt, 2 Georgia, 1 Tennessee. If there are any other quarters that have been issued I need them as well. Again I am trying to collect 5 of each state so my children each have a set. I will reimburse you or if there is something you collect, I'll try to help you out with your collection! Thanks everyone for your help!

I can't pin DS down, as to what quarters he is needing, but DD is tired of waiting on him. She is needing Louisiana, Indiana, and Mississippi. She is 11 and takes her state quarters very seriously.

She has at least one extra of each of the following states: New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, South Carolina, Delaware, Tennessee, and Massachusetts. Anyone need to trade or want to help her out?

DS is collecting both the P and D quarters. Denver is difficult around here but Philadelphia is easy to come by.

We have the same problem - but in reverse.

Our Denver set is up to date and then some - but dd is trying to get one full set of the Phil. mint as well - a tough task around here.

We always seem to get the Denver mint ones. I guess because we are closer to Colorado. My kids are collecting in the Whitman Statehood Quarters album. It doens't ask for specific mints, just the states.

I'd love to have 2 each of Louisiana and Indiana. Do you need anything? PM me if you are interested and we can make a swap.

If you need a Denver mint, I'll try to help you out. Still looking for Mississippi. It comes out in October, I believe. Is it out yet?

I have found quite on accident that Quarters I get in Michigan/IL. In seem to be D mint, Ones I get in Ohio seem to be P mints.

If you need me to go clean out my cupholder looking for certain ones let me know in PM. I have aqccess to both mints quite easily.
