Our family of 4 will be going to wdw for 10 days (nov/dec) 2 adult & 2 kids should we each get the AP?

Does the AP cover admission for all of us or do we have to buy additional park admission for 3?

For a 10 day stay, especially around the time you are going, I think it would be a good idea to get a premium annual pass for one member of your family. The discount at most hotels at that time would definitely make up for the cost of the pass. The rest of the family would do well with Unlimited Magic Passes (as long as you're staying at a Disney hotel). It also depends if you are staying exclusively at Disney or if you are going to Universal, Sea World, etc.

Hi Monica! Welcome to the DIS. Yes, each person has to have their own park pass unless they are under the age of 3. The type of pass you should choose depends on several factors. You need to take into account how many of the main parks you plan to go to, whether you plan to go to the waterparks, Disney Quest, and Pleasure Island, and whether you are planning to visit the parks everyday or if you are planning on taking days to just relax at the resort or do some of the other attractions in Orlando. I believe if you are going to spend more than 7 or 8 days in the parks that an annual pass is the most economical way to go but the regular AP only includes admission to the 4 main parks, no waterparks or DQ or PI. You would need a premium annual pass to get admission to all of those. The unlimited magic pass would give you the same privileges as the PAP but the disadvantage of the UMP, IMO, is that if you needed to leave early or if someone got sick and couldn't visit the parks for a day or two you just lose those days. I prefer to use either park hopper passes or APs - park hoppers never expire so any unused days can be used on a later trip and annual passes may get you a nice discount on your room. If you look on the DIS home page there is a link (in the left column) for ticket prices and I think that section of the site also gives explanations of the various tickets. I hope I didn't confuse you even more. Good luck and have a great trip. :)
