I have ADR for Boma but now hubby doesn't want to do buffet (he does have some walking issues)

so now I need to find and other place to eat :headache:

we are on the dining plan and have ADR's at 'Ohana, Nacoossee(25th anniversary) Coral Reef, and Ragland Road.

I am even questioning Coral Reef after reading some reviews-but I think you will have good and bad reviews with all restaurants.

So I am thinking about Sanaa, The Wave or the Turf Club. I would like input please

Sanaa is a great replacement for Boma. While you don't get the variety of a buffet, the food is better, IMO.

Personally, I would skip CR. Growing up, it was one of my favorite restaurants. But those days are over. What used to be a nice quiet enjoyable meal, is now loud, with average food and subpar service. If you don't mind leaving EC for a seafood dinner, you are much better off heading over to the Dolphin for bluezoo or the Boardwalk for Flying Fish.

Sanaa is fantastic! Highly recommend it. I do not like Coral Reef at all, but I am a seafood snob lol. Since you are on the dining plan, I am assuming you would need to replace Coral Reef with another 1 credit option. My favorite at EPCOT hands down is Via Napoli. We also enjoy La Hacienda de San Angel, Restaurant Marakesh, and The Rose and Crown. But Via Napoli just may be my favorite WDW restaurant overall lol. And excellent choice with Raglan Road! :cool1:

We are trying Sanna and Via Napoli for the first time this year and I can't wait - I have heard so many good things about them.

I would skip CR too - we did it for the first time last December and it was my least favorite meal in 10 days. Being from MD, I am a bit of a seafood snob too but that wasn't really it - it was just that everything was a little too heavy, a little too greasy, and while the atmosphere was cool and my DS and DD loved the tank, it wasn't enough to overcome the quality issues. Fortunately, we were on the DXDP so were able to pretty easily write it off.

Have a great trip whatever you decide!

Thank you everyone. It is done Boma has been replaced by Sanaa. I am so looking forward to dining here

I would also recommend looking into Jiko. It has excellent food and service. It's more expensive than Boma or Sanaa, but it's very good.

You really need to try for yourself as day to day restaurant experiences can be different.

We tried Sanaa because so many DISers on the boards LOVED it, we did try it (for lunch) and didn't care for it...we won't be running back anytime soon and I wanted to like it but maybe my expectations were too high because of the reviews here plus we didn't have a great server to give us any background on the food items. The servers really need to elaborate on the menu options if you don't have much experience with Indian food.

The Wave gets very mixed reviews here and its one of our favorite restaurants and we go there a lot and it is always a good experience for us, but for others it may not be so great.

Turf Club was ok for us, someone else I know who ate there hated it and another totally enjoyed it.

I have a review website on WDW dining because I like to share our experiences (or even other guest experiences) but mostly to show photos of the food.;) And honestly you can love a place one visit and not love it the next (and this can even happen in the same trip!). ::yes::

Or you could let him sit and bring him plates of yummy food to try. Unless he just doesn't even want to try Boma.

I think it is more "buffet" than "getting about" since it is just the 2 of us I think he wants the quieter atmosphere that tends to come with a non buffet meal

If he likes a relatively quieter atmosphere, then be cautious of Raglan Road if the band is playing. The band is loud, the crowd is loud. Boma was much quieter in my experience.
