Help - how to get codes for older Buildabears to use on new web site?

The new Build-A-Bear website is up but all our animals were purchased before October of 2007 so they did not come with codes. I thought you were supposed to be able to get codes for older bear but I cannot find any instructions on what to do. I think you have to go to the store but do I have to bring the animals or their birth certificates or what?

Here in Canada they sent out mailing to us and if we were to bring the mailer into the store we could have been able to adopt them etc...too bad we didn't go to the store before they expired though, not sure there is another way to get them now.

I took my niece and bravely proceeded to the "big" mall where the Build-A-Bear store is. It turns out, all we had to do was ask at the register and the nice young lady gave us cards with codes on them. My niece has already been able to use them to register her older animals and is busy playing away on the new web site.

It took us longer to find a parking space at the mall than it did in the store (parking was full, completely full and everyone was just circling waiting for a spot to open up).

My niece spent a considerable amount of time window shopping in the store. Which is conveniently next door to the Disney store. So we did a bit of looking there also. But no buying - - she understands it is too close to Christmas to being buying, she did show me several things she liked and things that she thought her cousins would like.
