Help! How much time to allow to get to restaurant?

We have CRT first week of Feb. at 8:20am. We are staying at Movies. When should we leave the hotel that morning? At that time of day would it just be easiest to drive ourselves. What are the disney roads like....easy to get around, traffic concerns ???

We are eating at Boma too and think we will come back from day at parks rest a bit at hotel then get in our car and drive to Boma from Movies....realistic?

One last question: How far from Movies to Downtown Disney?

You could drive yourselves everywhere...but keep in mind that Disney do provide trasnportation for you...for free even...and it is less of a hassle. For CRT...I would suggest leaving around 1 hour ahead of time, maybe even 1 hour and 10 minutes. (Just to be safe) Most of the time if you are early, they will even seat you right then.
As far as Boma, again your call on whether you want to drive, but if you happen to change your minds about your plans after dinner...then it would be easiest to just take the Disney Transportation. (i.e....you want to go to a park or DTD). Downtown Disney is not very far from Movies...if I remember correctly...I'd say maybe 10 -15 min. Not bad at all. Relax...Disney takes care of everything for you and that is why they call it the Happiest Place on Earth!! Have fun!!

For CRT I would leave no more than one hour in advance. If you do drive yourself keep in mind that you will still have to take the monorail over to the park. If you take the bus then you are dropped right at the Magic Kingdom entrance.

Driving to Movies from Boma shouldn't be a problem at all, it will be less than a 10 minute drive. Do include a little "getting lost time" though. The roads over there are a bit confusing.

Downtown Disney is about 15 minutes away from Movies. I would take the bus on this one so you don't have to hassle with parking.

Something that REALLY helped us on our maiden voyage to Disney years ago was the Unofficial Guide to WDW. It contains charts which show you how long it will take to get from place to place both by car and by Disney transportation. The times are just estimates, but are actually very close. Have fun!

For your breakfast at the Castle I would just take the MK bus. Just be at your resort bus stop 45 minutes to an hour before your reservation. If you drive you have to park at the TTC and then either boat or monorail over to the MK with the outside guests. The Disney bus leaves you off right at the Magic Kingdom entrance.
I suggest you go over to the transportation board for great advice and info on getting around within WDW.
