Help! How can I remove a pet stain?

One of our dogs (I believe the older of the two) marked DD's new sneakers over the weekend. She's only had them a week.

The outside seems to be okay and she was able to clean the leather, but she says the insides are yellowed. What can we use to try to clean the inside? I have to check if the liner can be removed - that could be our saving grace if I can toss those in the washing machine. She did spray Febreze to combat any odor, but she won't wear them as long as they are stained...can't say I blame her. But she thinks the solution is to buy new sneakers.

Can you toss the whole sneaker in the washer on the most delicate cycle you have on your washer? Even if it means taking it out before the spin cycle. Then set it out in the sun to dry. This way detergent will get any lingering smell out of it and between the wash and the sun the stain should come out. My cat has done this to DD sneakers before.

I'm not sure about washing the whole shoe - they're Phat Farms. I'm thinking I might trying straight Clorox bleach, or the Clorox or Tide To Go pens. I haven't actually seen the stain in question, so I'll have to further inspect and determine how to tackle it when I get home from work.

Get a bottle of KidsNPets from Walmart and follow directions. Works great - although you may have to use it twice and wait a long time after application.

Nature's Miracle. Should be available at any pet store. Great stuff. Has enzymes that get rid of the stain and odor. My only worry would be how it might affect the shoe, but I guess you can test for that first.

The good news is that the shoe liner is removeable, and I was able to wash them. DD also asked that I wash the laces as well. She still has a stain inside at the heel, but I think I will try either the Clorox or Tide pens to treat that. Thanks for the suggestions.
