HELP!! Hours changed my plans for MGM

Okay, I am trying for the 3rd time to post this- hope it goes through!!

I had checked park hours a while back and made our itenerary. Doing MGM on Wed. Nov. 30th. The hours WERE 9am-8pm with Fantasmic at 7pm. Now the hours are changed to 9am-7pm with Fantasmic at 6:30. The Osborne lights are from 6-7pm. Looks like we cant do both. Does anyone think that we can be over at the Lights a bit before 6pm and rush through them and run to Fantasmic and still get a seat? I am not happy about this. We have only seen Fantasmic once and never seen the Osborne lights. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Do the opposite. See Fantasmic, and then wander over to see the lights. Thats what we do over THanksgiving. The lights have always stayed on past closing and the last showing of Fantasmic.

So we wont be ushered out of the park? I remember being swept in a flood of people last time and the line only went one way- OUT. This is good news if we can get over there after Fantasmic.

My plan is to sit near the top of the arena. When Fantasmic ends, we will hopefully get ahead of most of the crowd and head down to the lights. I got this tip from someone who did it last year and it seems to work pretty good! So, here's to us seeing the lights after Fantasmic! Hope it works!

We did what tjmouse said and it worked perfectly last year. Tons of people head over to see the lights after Fantasmic but we were at the front of the swarm and it was very pleasant.

Does anyone know how long they keep the lights on after Fantasmic? The lights are scheduled to be on from 6-7 and Fantasmic is at 6:30. How long is the Fantasmic show? I am so hoping this works out for us to see both. Thanks for the input
