Hi there,

I could really use some help as i am planning a trip for 2010.
Bookings usually become available in 2/3 months, and i plan on booking as soon as they come on sale.

As well as my partner, ill be traveling with my younger brother and sister,
who will be 6 & 8 at the time.

They wouldn't share a bed, so I would need bunks, or twins,
as well, as the king/queen for myself and my partner.

Staying at one of the Disney resorts, isn't out of the question,
it just depends on the price, and how much they go up in 2010.

But if anyone can tell me about any other hotels,
offsite,
that provide bunks/twins, and transportation to the parks, it would be a fantastic help.

If ANYONE,
has any advice or suggestions,
It would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Thanks, :)

I don't know much about many off-site places since I've only stayed at a few, so I can't think of any places that have bunks off-site. As for the transportation, if you are not renting a car, off-site transportation seems to be pretty unreliable at most places.

You may be best off getting a value or mod on-site and buying an inflatable mattress for one of your younger siblings if you can't get a really good deal on WL w/ a bunk.

I would not book an outside hotel based on shuttle services to the parks- You will find the times they leave and return might not be what youhad in mind.

- I, too want to book for 2010. Been paying attention all this year to compare to when I want to go- when I want want to pay. If I booked this in April I would have paid top dollar. Seems like if I booked now for next year is when I would get the better deal.

Now I am trying to find out--if I book at a higher rate and the price comes down will they honor that

For hotels, I'd suggest that you look at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Lake Buena Vista in Orlando. The hotel is on Route 535 two or three miles from Downtown Disney. They have a good-sized pool and a couple of on-site restaurants. The neat thing about this hotel is that they feature a hundred or so suites, including smallish themed kid's rooms with bunk beds. I have no idea about pricing or shuttles but you can look up all the normal amenity information at the Holiday Inn website.
You might also consider renting a villa or small rental house.

Good luck in finding the right match!

Disney will give you a better deal if the price comes down. If you booked a package, however, you will have to pay a fee (I think $200) if you are within 45 days of your check-in if you want to change your ressie. It's one of the drawbacks of booking a package with Disney. If it's a room-only ressie, there is no fee to switch.
