Help? Hotel question?

Could anyone tell me what is the best hotel to stay at in Downtown Disney? DH and I are going (we have no kids) for our anniversary in the fall?

Do you want a DISNEY RESORT, or a resort that is just Downtown? Disney's Port Orleans and Disney's French Quarters resorts are considered to be in the "Downtown" Disney area. If you stay at these resorts you get all the benefits of being at Disney, such as early admission to the parks, free disney transportations,etc. From these resorts, you can also take a boat directly to downtown Disney. There are other resorts in the Downtown area, such as "Double Tree", but they are not considered to be "Disney Resorts".

The Dolphin is my favorite. Try Annual passholder discount, teacher or government employee discount or AAA discount; and don't forget Hotwire. This and the Swan are great hotels and really are better than the top grade Disney hotels except for the Grand Floridian.

Make it happen for yourself.

If not, PORFQ would be my second choice, if you can get a room close to the bus stop, not on the fist floor due to the noise.
