In reguards to transportation from MCO Orlando Airport

on page 49
? Should you rent a car ?

Qoute: If you plan to spend all of your time on WDW turf, you can spare yourself the expense.
Shuttle service from the airport to all area hotels is available arond the clock, and taxis are in good supply.
Within the World, an exhaustive (sometimes exhausting) net work of transportation brings guests from point to point. Most area hotels offer their own bus service to and from disney theme parks (inquire in advance about schedules and costs, if any ).

So ok before I call and ask at the airport Marriott , does anyone know if they offer a bus, or if I can go back to the airport for a Disney bus or shuttle,,

or if I have to get a car service or cab ???

just trying to save a buck or two this year ? thanks cmatt

Cmatt,
The AIRPORT Marriott does NOT have a shuttle to WDW. I was under the impresssion from your other posts that you were transferring to a Disney hotel. In that case you can do one of three things.
1. Arrange for a towncar service to pick you up and take you to your hotel. I think one way service aveages around $40 plus tip.
2. Take a cab. Plan on close to $50 with tip could be more or less depending on traffic.
3. Take the Marriott shuttle back to the airport and catch a Mears shuttle. About 15 one way. It does not go directly to the park, but to hotels.

Now, if you are staying the entire time at the airport marriott you are going to need a car. The area hotels the guide books are talking about are those in Lake Buena Vista, Kissimmee and some on International Drive.

My recommendation is that you look at a map of Orlando. My impression from your posts is that you think WDW is "close" to the airport and that is NOT true.

only staying one nite at the airport marriott

then staying 8 day 7 nite at the contemporary resort at wdw

then back to airport marriott one nite til fly out 13 th

so back and forth is when I need the transportation

thanks cmatt

What you want to do then is stay the first night at the Marriot, check out the next morning, transport to the Contemporary to check-in. Your room will likely not be ready but you can drop off your luggage and get a room key (in case your entry passes are on the key). From the Contemporary, you can easily use Disney transport to get to any WDW park.

Carol pretty much captured your transport options from the Marriot to the Contemporary. The cheapest option for one person (I can't tell from your post) is to take the Marriot shuttle to the airport and take the Mears bus to the Contemporary. The NICEST option, and cost effective if it is a family, is to take a towncar service directly from the Marriot to the Contemporary.

At the end of your Contemporary stay, just do things in reverse. Check out and leave your luggage at the Contemporary if you will be spending the day in the parks. Go back to the Contemporary for your luggage and get picked up by the towncar service or Mears.

Good luck.
Peggy
