Help, Help, Help, Tickets Question

We are planning to go to the MNSSHP in October. We already have our tickets to the party but, we have decided to extend our trip for one more day. We currently have 4 day park hopper passes and we are planning to buy 1 day 1 park tickets for the extra day. The problem is we are planning to use the 1 day ticket on the same day as MNSSHP but we are going to Animal Kingdaom. Since those tickets will not include park hopper privelages, my question is do you have to have park tickets outside of the MNSSHP tickets for that night? I'm worried that I might not be able to get in since we won't be using the park hopper tickets that day.

Do you have to have park admission other than the MNSSHP tickets to get it on those nights?????

You only need the passess for MNSSHP to enter the magic kingdom. The party is supposed to be 7PM-12:00AM but from what is posted here many have been able to get into the Magic Kingdom with just the tickets as early as 4:00-4:30PM. I wouldn't worry as long as you are planning on arriving at MK after dinner.

Thanks, That's exactly what I needed to know! Do they do arm bands on those nights? If they let some people in as early as 4:00, do you have to leave the park and come back in between 6 and 7?

EMH and ...P (party) guests who enter before the park officially closes do not have to exit and re-enter. They may be herded to one particular part of the park for example Tomorrowland for a short period of time.

FWIW, you may be better off upgrading your 4 day tickets to 5 day tickets. Be sure to do the math before you buy the 1 day tickets.

I don't know exactly what kind of tickets you have, but for example, if you have a 4 day PH without plus options that expires 14 days from first use, the price for an adult is $234.30. A 5 day PH, without plus options that expires is $242.80. I know you can't get a 1 day ticket for $8.50.

The amounts will vary some depending on what features you have with your 4 day tickets, but I think you will almost certianly be better off upgrading than just buying 1 day/1 park tickets. Here's a link to ticket prices so you can do your own figuring:

If your original tickets were purchased before 2005 the trade in values are different. You'll have to ask the value at Guest Relations when you get there. In your case, going from 4 days to 5 days, with pre-2005 hoppers you should do the trade up before entering the parks on the first day.

If you want to go whole hog and do hopping on the fifth day, a separate 1 day ticket will cost you $101. ($64. without hopping). Still, when getting the trade in value you may want to step out of line, redo your calculations with the number you receive, and then make your decision. A brochure I have shows the 4 day park hopper as costing $176., that was a few years before 2004.
