I have just found out that I may be able to go to WDW in 10 days!!!!! Here's the deal. I was supposed to go on a girls trip with friends originally. Then I got very sick in Sept and had a couple thousand dollars in Med bills. So, I backed out of going. Well, my DH told me today (my birthday by the way!! 34) that he wants me to go ahead and go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends booked their trip through AAA and have already gotten their travel documents. Is there ANY way ANY WAY AT ALL to add me at this point???? HELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!! I really really want to go!!!

Were you supposed to be sharing a room with your friends or get your own room? Also, are there seats left on the flights your friends will be on, or would fly down alone??

You can definitely book a trip to WDW within 10 days, but you need to give us more info.

I'm assuming that the travel agent your friends booked through is not available today??

You've got a great DH. I'm not sure about adding you to their packages (check anyway) but see if they can work you up a last minute deal. Start calling Disney directly to see if they're any rooms available. If the rooms have not reach maximum occupancy, it won't be that hard to add your name via disney. You may have to buy your tickets independantly.

I doubt that CRO will be able to help since it was booked through AAA. You need to go back to AAA. CRO doesn't get detail information on AAA reservations until the last minute. The AAA reservation number will not even come up on the system for CRO.

I would call your friends and see who they booked with. and then see if they can call and add you on! What a sweet dh. Watch for us with the LGMH.

Ok if you definitely are going, then I'd suggest grabbing that flight today ESPECIALLY since it's on sale!

Secondly, as long as there are only already 2 people in the room, they can easily add you on, even once you get down there. However, you sound as if you want everything settled/set up now

Have you spoken to your friends yet? They should have a confirmation/reservation #. Have them call CRO and add you on.

Are they on a package which includes room and tickets??? Dining plan? If so, you'd have to get the same package, although you could determine how many days worth of tickets that you want.

Keep us informed!

P.S. Which resort? As you probably already know, all of the resorts charge a fee for more than 2 adults in a room, but that fee is different depending on which level resort you're at.

The OP mentioned AAA but doesn't know if they used a TA, it could just be a AAA discount that they got.

Sounds to me like your problem is already solved. Your allowed 4 in a room, though you have to pay like $15 per nite extra being over 18 . You said their are seats available on their flight...so book it! All you have to do is buy your park tickets, and you can get those anywhere. Then just figure out how much the room bill is, and split it 3 ways! No need to deal with their TA. Have a magical time!

GOOD NEWS!!!! I called AAA, and it is not a problem to add me as long as it is within 5 days of the trip! YAHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! . There is only one obstacle left. One of the 2 other people going does not know me very well, and I am having my friend talk to her privately today to see if she would be upset if I come, ya know, since she has been in the mindset of it being just the two of them. If she is not thrilled with the idea I will not horn in on the trip. Cross your fingers for me and say a prayer that she wants me along!!

Well, I finally heard from my friend last night around 9pm. Her friend sounded fine with it, but said that she believed that since the package was already paid for and so close , that there would be penalties. She is going to cal AAA today and see. What those penalties are, I do not know. If it is a matter of say, 50 dollars, not a problem. If it's 200, problem! That would make me unable to go. So, I guess I'll know sometime today. I'll keep you all posted!

If its like Disney's change fees and my old brain is working correctly ....there is no cost for upgrading a package. Now I'm not sure that adding one person is considered upgrading. Otherwise (from Disney's site)

Changes to Reservation - For a change made 44 days or less prior to guest arrival that results in a change in the package price, a change fee of $50 per package, plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers, will be charged. Disney reserves the right to restrict changes to any reservation. Such change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in the package price resulting from the change.

Other thing if they are taking the Magical Express you might want to call ME customer service and see what the suggest you do about your bags. It is possible your friends might have extra tags. I know I always do. If not maybe ME can give you an idea of how to identify your bags as ME or you can just get your bags and carry them on to the bus.
