HELP< HELP, HELP!!! Friends going to DCA tomorrow!

I have friends headed to DCA tomorrow and I need some advice. They are doing one day in each park, so tomorrow is their DCA day. What is the best advice I can give him on World of Color Fastpasses and RSR FP?
RSR first, then WOC?
Also, he is CLUELESS about all things Disney, but he did ask me about where to go for a good viewing of WOC, what is the best way to tell him in layman's terms?

RSR Fastpass first for sure. WoC Fastpass doesn't need to be a huge priority. If everyone is old enough, they can do single rider for RSR as well.

Layman's terms for WoC viewing, I'd say get in line early and get a spot at a rail. There is more to getting a good spot than that--nearish to the center might be good advice, or on the bridge is fine. But I'd say the easiest thing to remember is just try to get at a rail or behind people significantly shorter than you (who will NOT put their kids on their shoulders).
