O.K., so of course because I'm going, my mom, (Grandma) wants to go to Disney at the same time. We are headed there April 11-18th at the Contemp. Mom and her BF want the Poly, I know it's super crazy with the construction, but I'm hoping some will be done at that point.

Two Questions:

#1 - I'm trying to talk her out of the Poly, so she asked about the Beach Club? What does everyone think of the BC? Any opinions? Any Poly fans over there right now?

*PS I already know that with us at the CR and her at the Poly or BC we cannot pool hop/share...that's not my question...:thumbsup2

#2 - She's booking through Orbitz, and isn't really computer-inclined we'll say. Can I add her resort and dinner reservations and fastpasses to my MDE... (where my existing reservations are)? (i.e. can I have my family of 3 on a dinner reservation, then create another dinner reservation for her (2pple) at a separate restaurant?) Same scenario with FP's...

Or should I create a separate MDE account for her and run her reservation through that?

Again, I'm not looking to "share" dinner reservations, FP's etc, I'm talking trying to run two different vacations on one MDE account? :thumbsup2 I just wanted to be able to be in MK, check my MDE for our reservations and see "oh mom has a dinner in EP at 515" w/o having to log out of me and log in to her, etc.

Love both resorts but if she likes EPCOT the Beach Club is a close walk right into the park for her, and the boat will take her straight to Hollywood Studios. We were down in early November and the Polynesian was a hot mess then, grounds were all torn up and absolute chaos.

I'd personally use another email address and create her her own MDE and handle everything for her. It'd be the best way to manage her dining, FP+ and hotel requests.

Enjoy your trip, right now I have a BC reservation for late March that I'm thinking of canceling, our college student wants to go to Savannah GA for her spring break and our high school senior is going to Denver. Don't be sad for me though, I have a Swan reservation for Memorial Day week!

Yeah, this is what I was thinking I had to do... as I'm typing the question I'm thinking "yeah do her own account!"... just trying to make it easier on myself, but I don't think any way will make it easier! :)

Yeah! Have fun at the Swan! We stayed there, we really liked it!

As to the question of "should she stay at Poly or BC?", I think you answered your own question when you said "We're staying at Contemporary".

Seems to me that, if the two of you are staying at different resorts, then having those resorts on the monorail would be incredibly valuable.

I agree with Trekkie...being connected by the monorail will make meeting up so much easier (if that is what you want). We stayed at the Poly early this month and the resort was still magical even with construction. Even if the construction bothered her, the monorail access would make up for it in my book. I vote Poly!

We stopped at the Poly this past Saturday for lunch. The lobby is gorgeous. There is still a lot of construction, especially at the Volcano pool and the two longhouses that they are converting to DVC's, but it looks a whole lot better than it did last October. The Great Ceremonial house looked great. I would let her stay at the Poly if that's what she wants. :) But the BC is a great place to stay, too. We really like that resort. But it will be in the middle of a room refurbishment in April. They are doing sections of the resort at a time, closing rooms off while they work on it.

Yes, create a separate MDE account for her reservation and tickets.

We just finished a trip with our daughter and her family. They were at WDW for several days before we arrived. We each had our own MDE accounts and linked it as family who could view all of each others plans, not just the shared plans. We could see her hotel reservation, all of her ADR's and fastpasses, and her tickets, even when they were for days when we weren't there.

Yes, you will be able to log into your MDE account and see her reservations without logging into her account as long as you are linked as family who can view all plans. :)

When you make ADR's it shows you a list of your friends and family and you can pick whichever ones will be on the reservation. But if you want to make the reservations for her, under her name, then you will have to log into her account to do it.

Yeah! Thank you for your post!

That's great to hear about the Poly, I know her heart was set on it and if it's magical in January it should be even closer in April! I know she's not a huge fan of the BC.

I didn't know you could link MDE's like that! That's AWESOME!!! I thought I'd be spending all day logging in and out and in and out! To see it all in one place will be great!!! :cool1:
