HELP!! Grand Gathering Safari Help Needed!!

My girlfriend and I take our families together to WDW occassionaly. In April will be our 3rd trip together. We've done Grand Gatherings in the past but this trip I didn't think about it. My girlfriend is bringing her 12 yr old nephew this trip. His Mom suddenly died Christmas and we're trying to cheer him up and give him some carefree time. Well, he has heard us mention the Safari dinner we did a few times. He asked if we could do the Safari Dinner. Well of course its sold out when we're going (4/16-4/22). I feel terrible. I tried to see if we could wait list ~no. If there was 2 spots open in a truck if just he and my girlfriend could do it ~no. Any pixie dust suggestions?? I just feel terrible. Thanks
