Hi i am new to forum.
I have never been to DLP. staying at Sequoia Lodge. We are going this friday for 3 nights.
Some answers please, as some people have been telling us things about their trips to DLP.

Is it really expensive for food and drink?
Are the french people really rude?
Do the Disney characters talk in french?

In my opinion food is a little expensive. (Like at every other tourist destination) You can have a really nice meal in a sit-down restaurant for about 25€. That includes a Menu with starter, main dish and dessert.
If you are going by car I would take some water with me for the hotel room as drinks in the resort are also a little bit expensive.

Yes, French people are rude. As rude as people from the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, the USA, India, Japan...
But they are also very nice people just like people from the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, the USA, India, Japan... ;)

The most characters are bilingual. They speak English and French. Although I found out that Mickey very often only speaks English and Goofy mostly speaks French.
But you won’t have a problem if you don't understand French as everything is in English and French. (Attractions, Shows, Signs, TV-channels...)

You will have a great trip.

very well put ;)

we found that some people dont like to queue or understand the meaning of the word !
and also they seem to not care about blowing their cigarette smoke in your / childs face!

other than that we didnt find "them" too bad ;)

Hi i am new to forum.

It's probably best if you don't go with the idea that the french people are anything at all, apart from millions of individuals, each with their own quirks, strengths and weaknesses. The stereotype of a superior-type waiter is no more true that the one that says all English men wear bowler hats and work in the City and all Scots are like Rab C Nesbitt. ;)

Some of the meals can be expensive - we were there last week and the meals we had at Auberge de Cendrillon and Inventions certainly put a dent in my wallet, but the food there was superb and far nicer than anything I (as an ordinary working mum) get to eat on a regular basis at home.
Some places are cheaper. The meal at Planet Hollywood for my dtr and I, translated into pounds, was £28.64, which is about what I would expect to pay for a meal out in that style of restaurant over here. (Although that does include the 20% discount I received for having The Brits guide with me)

Hi Kat and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, then have a read of the DLP posting rules here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

You've had lots of helpful answer already :thumbsup2

For food have a look at the Restaurant faq sticky at the top of the board. On many of the threads you'll find that posters have copied the menu and also given prices of the meals they had :)
