I am using a very large monitor at home. When I got to work and was going to print out a few of the virtual portholes and they are EGGS? The view from my home they are circles. Even looking at them on photobucket they look like eggs. But when i made them and posted from home they were circles.
Is there something I can do?
Thanks for any advise.

Did you have a lot of white space around the sides and not the top or vice versa? Sometimes when you save an image...if there is a lot of white space around two of the sides but not the other two sides...it can distort an image. I don't know if that makes sense, but if you can resave the image to where the white space around the sides is equal, or just remove the white space so that the image is touching all four sides of the image. (Since you are wanting a circle...the corners will still be white, but make sure the image is touching all four sides) Hope that makes some sense.

Thanks Dolly
I'll give it a try when i get home.
When I did the image --the sides were clear-blank-but I saved the image as a jpeg--maybe I should have saved it as a png or a gif?

but I will try your suggestion.

Thanks

That might help. When you save it as a jpeg anything that is blank turns white. Look at the image and see if there is a lot of blank/white space on the sides or top. If there is extra on either...it may be the reason it is distorting. If not...I'm stumped.

When people copy and paste some of my things that are jpeg directly from the boards into Word...they get distorted because the of the white space.

Ok
this may be due to a 26 inch monitor,,because I had to squish the image like a hamburger on my computer and it looks awful but in the livingroom on sons
monitor it looks normal. I may be giving up my monitor to son and using his.

Thanks Dolly for the help

Dale looks wide in the porthole above.

This is going to sound a little strange but pixels are not always square. Sometimes they can be rectangular. I know this can be controlled in full Photoshop but I don't think you can in PSE.

What happens when you draw a circle holding down the shift key? Is it circular on the larger monitor? Also do other images such as Chip & Dale appear wide when opened on the problem system? If so you may have to adjust something on the monitor or in Windows to get it to look right.

Hi Dom
Are you saying my Dale is a little Fat? :rotfl2:

I think it is the widescreen monitor I was using. I only have paint.net program.
I've been too scared to try anything like you pros use. Maybe when I get older.;)

I redid the image --I think he (Dale ) looks a bit better.
