Help from Floridians

My Dad is getting a job in Land O Lakes and my mom wants to work at WDW. Where would be a good neighborhood for them to live in between the two? They may just rent an apt or house until they can sell thier house here or they may buy not sure yet, but just trying to get a good idea of a nice neighborhood somewhere in between the two cities. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ok I'm really not much help here - but from what I've "heard" is Kissimmie is a nice palce to live - but I'm not sure where Land O Lakes is so like I said I'm not much help...dh has a cousin living in Orlando but I think her address is actually Orlando...maybe I'll get him to find out from her...but they probably don' t live in the best place 'cause they are young & may not people to afford the nicest area...

The area between Land O Lakes and WDW is pretty far. Depending on how far Mom wants to drive - the Land O Lakes area is fairly up and coming, and rather nice, in most parts. BUT - keeping in mind Land O Lakes means just that...lots of 'em. And all the things that come with lakes.....(i.e. alligators)

BUT, again - Land O Lakes is pretty central. Close to New Port Richey, close to Tampa...very close to Citrus Park Mall which was my FAVORITE when I lived down there!

And apparently - there is a "back way" through Zephyrhills to WDW that cuts your time in half (near LoL) but I never knew the way...apparently Disney workers used it often.

I live near Land O'Lakes. It takes us about an hour to get to WDW, depending on how many lanes are closed along I-4. Your parents may want to check out Lakeland, Plant City, or Winter Haven. Plant City might be a long drive for your Mom. Good luck!
