We are thinking of going to universal for 1 day. Thinking of doing IOA in the morning (Hulk, Spiderman, Doctor Doom's, DD, Barges), then going to the Studios in the afternoon and evening(Men in black, twister, Mummy, Shrek,Back to the Future, Earthquake?, Fear Factor(what is this anyway?), Jimmy Neutron, and maybe some others). Should we get a universal express plus for US? Is this too much for one day? We only have one day so we'd really like to do the Studios because we've never done them before but the kids would like to do the thrill rides from IOA again too. I'd appreciate any help!!!!THANKS!!! :sunny: (We really don't want to stay on univeralproperties either.)

The best "help" I can give you is to reconsider you "not wanting to stay on Universal property." Your plan seems too ambitious to me, particularly if you are planning to go in peak season. You may want to save your Universal experience until you have a couple of days to dedicate to the parks are able to spend at least one night on site. Much more sane way of going about it.

we did both parks in december, it was a lot of rushing around but it was done.depending on time of year, it might be difficult. have fun.

When do you plan on being there? I would head to IOA before opening, do what you want and buy a plus pass for USO. Still it will be a hectic day and you may not see all you would like.

It is doable if you get there early enough and stay till closing, we always go for just the day, and even take time to eat dinner at Margaritaville. Have fun, and as you know, wear comfortable shoes!

This is definitely doable. I was there Sunday and got through this using my on-site FOTL:

Arrived IOA at 11:35
Rode Hulk 2 times by 11:55
Rode Spiderman 2 times
Lunch
Jurassic Park
Poseiden's Fury
Dueling Dragons "Ice" 3 times
Hulk again

Walked to Universal
Shrek 4-D
The Mummy 3 times
Earthquake
Jaws
Men In Black 3 times
Back to the Future 2 times
Jimmy Neutron
Terminator 2: 3-D

Parks closed at 7:00 - I could have done much more had they been open later.

Have a great trip. FOTL is worth the stay at one of the Universal resorts.
