Hey Gang... I have a big dilemma. I just reserved a room for my dbf and I for labor day weekend. I am doing this b/c I get the free dining - Well that and the fact that I overpaid for my plane tickets in November so I got a refund and can use the difference to pay for these tickets :cool1: :cool1:

So Please -- Should I go to WDW?? How is the weather at the end of August? Do you think it will be a waste of money (even though I get free dining??? )

I appreciate all of your suggestions... :wizard:

Based on our trip last year over Labor Day weekend with free DDP, you would get a much bigger bang for the buck if you started your trip on the tuesday after the holiday. If was as if someone flipped a switch, and the crowds were just gone. Walked on everything.

Now that is not to say that it was that bad over Labor Day weekend, while it was busy, it did not seem crushingly busy as we stuck to our plan, were up early and in the parks at open, and at about 1pm when the wait times got to an hour, we went back to the hotel and sacked out or soaked in the pool.

The weather is still warm, the afternoon rain storms are fewer and futher that late in the summer, but you are hitting the height of Hurricane season.

All that considered we are going basicly for the first full week in sept. after the holiday. My guess is that it won't be that busy... as on the touring plans site that is considered the least busy time fo the entire year.

Unfortunately I don' t have a choice as to when I can go b/c I cannot take any days off of work :headache:
Thanks for your info.... I am going to try it out. I am going in July anyway -- the WORST time of the year. :rotfl2:

We are going in September because of free dining. :thumbsup2 We have never been to WDW and originally our first trip was going to be for my 40th in 2009.

Disney sent me a PIN. Priced it out, pretty good. :)

Free dining came out. The PIN price was only $200 less than the free DDP price but did not include food; same hotel and dates. My wheels started to spin. pirate:

We'll be there mid September and I say go for it! :cheer2:

We are taking advantage of free dining for the 1st time and will be there August 25 thru September 1. This will be our 1st time at the World during the summer heat...should be interesting!

Where are you staying? We will be at the Movies this time.

I booked it last night... woo hoo!!! :cool1: I made a promise to dbf that we would see the other park (US) one day....
I am staying at Coronado Springs. We stayed there last November and had a blast.

I stayed at AsSp a few years back and had a blast. From what I hear, Movies is the quiestest. You are going to have an awesome time. I am only going for the long weekend -- but I always say.....one day at Disney is better than no days...
