I was hoping you wonderful people can help me. We orginally were planning on staying onsite at WDW but I ran across this villa for rent and am really leaning that way if I can make it cost effective. Problem is I have been unable to find rates for a rental car like you all have quoted on here. I don't have discounts or coupons and wondered if yall could point me in the right direction? All tips are really appreciated! We will be there Dec 17-26,2005

ps-I tried using the priceless ode and joining the emerald club thru national and still coming up over $400. :sad2:

go to mousesavers. I put National Car into the search engine and got to a page that had a link to Turner Travel which allowed me to sign up for Nationals Emerald Aisle club for free ($50 savings). The page on mousesavers has codes that anyone can use. I used the priceless code along with a coupon that I printed out on BJ's website for $20 savings off a week rental. Other people have posted a link to the entertainment site where you can print a free $20 off coupon. Hope this helps. Mousesavers has other code/coupons for other rental companies. My rate for 9 days in October is $188 now. I'm still hoping that it comes down, but it is still not bad.

Evident;y maybe my days are more expensive or something- I signed up for the emerald aisle thru turner for free-used the priceless code and the 20 entertainment and still came out to 400--thrifty is around 280.....I dunno. Is alot more than our budget :earseek:

There do seem to be times of the year that it's really difficult to get a good price. We just came back and a 9 day rental full size on national cost me $228 (with codes and coupon). Interestingly, that same rental for next November will be about $140. (And I booked that last October and the price never went down) Anyway, of course, that is almost the busiest week that you're going. And my guess is, it's the extra days over the week that are adding on the extra cost. Ever thoughr about splitting the stay? do the first 7 days in a villa and then move on site for the last three (or visa versa) - Although moving on site for the last 3 gives you the advantage of being able to do EMH's when the "real" crowds arrive) If you did National, you could pick up at the airport and drop at the car care center at WDW. Then use ME to get back to the airport. Just a thought.

I found this code on a website someplace and it got me an SUV for a week for $120 from Budget, which was less than my regular fastbreak rate.

Good luck!

we have used l&m and have had great success, our car for may is a mid size for 5/9--5/18 $207.00 www.lmcarrental.net I originally tried national and their rate was almost the same, but LM is in the terminal and they have online coupons. check back weekly, you can always cancel, and resubmit a new res.
