Help for putting together a rope drop plan!

I think it’s lots of fun, but the line moves slow. Hence the FP if you do decide to do it. Totally skippable though if you’re not worried about it. I couldn’t remember what all rides you’d listed on your original post the other day, so I was guessing on that one.
Oh okay. We're not too worried about it unless it's good for young kids. Would you recommend it for my sister?

She would probably have fun. The car spins a lot. Not as much as the tea cups, but a good amount. There are a couple scenes that are a little darker in nature. It might be a good one to watch a YouTube video of to help you decide.

Okay. Thank you so much for the help!

One more thing. I would highly recommend making Space Mountain the first FP you pull. It’s always popular, but especially so now that it’s Hyperspace Mountain again. And the single rider line is not always open. Of all the rides you listed, I would fully expect FP for Space to run out before anything else that day.
I don’t want to hijack op’s thread, but are there any threads discussing the best order to pull FPs? Like, if I know I want to ride IASW, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder in one day, is there strategy to when to pull those, or just as they become available?

I wouldn’t stress on those 3 at all. They’re all very easy to get & won’t run out too early. You could actually ride them each multiple times with FP in one day. So, basically, just what you said. Just pull one after the other as your time window for a new pass comes up.

Normal order of FP sell outs at Disneyland
1) Space Mountain
2)3) Can be either Indiana Jones or the Matterhorn. Depends which attraction had more down time during the day. Down time equals a FP return time boost in the system.
4) Star Tours
5) Roger Rabbit (Shorter Hours) / Haunted Mansion or Small World Holiday if its the Holiday Season
6) Big Thunder Mountain
7) Haunted Mansion
8) Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters
9)10) Splash Mountain or It's a Small World. Splash Mountain tends to be available as the FP return times equal a night ride

Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about those - they don't run out unless it's a really crowded day, and even then, they won't run out until late at night. Typically once you get a Fastpass it's immediate and you can just walk on.

I just watched a video of Indy and I’m not too sure about it anymore - I’m a real chicken when it comes to special affects. I can handle huge drops, twists, and turns, but theming and effects are really what get to me as I’m prone to nightmares from even the smallest things. Would you still recommend Indy? If so, would cast members me accommodating of me not wanting to walk through the normal queue (it looks super scary and I’ll be alone)?

To be safe, you might want to watch a Youtube video, to determine whether the ride is appropriate for you. Although I'm not sure if that will trigger nightmares for you but presumably if you watch it early in the day in a well-lit room you will be OK.

I can't imagine the CM's will allow you to line up seperately.

If you are very sensitive to dark-ish/creepy-ish (not scary/horror kind of creepy, but creepy like in the IJ movies -- think the beginning of the first movie when Indy is going after the gold idol in the jungle -- that kind of creepy)/sometimes loud or startling kind of effects, then you might want to skip IJA. We recently took a young adult friend who thought she would like the ride, but she never made it through the queue. It turned out to be too much for her. And she wasn't even alone -- there were 4 of us together.
And there is no way to completely avoid the queue. Even the single rider line will have you go through some of the dark parts. In fact, that's where our friend gave up -- where the SR line joins the regular line. She said it was just too dark for her and she wanted to leave.

Oh haha that's what I meant by "watch" - I watched a bunch of YT POVs of it. Yep, that's what I did - it seemed okay but a little nerve-wracking, by the end of the video I was breathing pretty heavily. The queue seemed more scary though.

Oh okay, sounds like I should pass it. I'm pretty sensitive to the dark and anything creepy (bugs, horror, etc.)... Maybe another time when I'm older.

In that case I'd give it a miss

Okay, so chance of grabbing a Space Mountain FP at 8:00am and then a Star Tours FP at 9:30am and have both return times be before 11am?

Looking at the app this morning I'd do it the other way. Star tours has a return time of 8:10. So at 8:10 you can scan in to star tours and pull a space fp. It'll be a little later than the current 9:30, but should be before 11.

Oh I see, dunno if that'll change by the time of our trip but thank you.
